Record number of alumni make annual pilgrimage to CofC

A Charleston Affair Weekend draws alumni from across state, country and world

More than 4,000 alumni returned to Charleston to celebrate A Charleston Affair Weekend, May 4-6, 2012. 

Alumni came back to campus to participate in a weekend of networking activities and programs hosted by the Alumni Association Friday evening through Sunday morning. The Weekend culminated with A Charleston Affair, the annual graduation gala and alumni reception for the College of Charleston since 1900. The gala, attended by a record crowd on Saturday night, was expanded into surrounding areas from the heart of Cistern Yard this year.

“It was great to see so many alumni back on campus to renew old friendships, share memories and witness the incredible growth of our beloved alma mater,” said Charlotte alumni chapter leader, Tanisia Charles.
