Audrey Dingle Cooper has retired from the Fluor Corporation as an acquisition verification services manager.


Guy Carpenter has been appointed to the first North Carolina Industrial Hemp Commission, and is a business and fiber expert. He owns Cape Fear Apparel in Wilmington, NC.


Molly Alford Thomas is a registered paraplanner for Abacus Planning Group in Columbia, SC.


Oliver Fetzer is the CEO of Synthetic Genomics, a global leader in the field of synthetic biology and synthetic genomics. He has been appointed to the board of directors of Arena Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in San Diego, CA.


Mitsy Mangum represented the College of Charleston at the inauguration of Emory University's 20th president in February. Mitsy is the managing director of Lakeview Capital Partners in Atlanta.


Michele Gaetan Miller is a multi-million dollar Realtor and will earn the title of Broker later this year. Michele earned Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Silver Award in 2014 and 2015, and will earn the Gold Award for 2016 .Michele lives in Spring, TX.

Michelle Adkins Patterson is a new board member for Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in North Carolina. Michelle and her family own and operate Patterson Farm, Inc., a commercial fruit and vegetable farm and distrisbution center in China Grove, NC. Michelle has also served as chairwoman of the Rowan County Tourism Development Authority and on the Salisbury Tourism and Cultural Development Commission.


Paige Reese Whitaker has been appointed Superior Court Judge of the Atlanta Judicial Circuit by Georgia Governor, Nathan Deal. Paige earned her law degree from Duke University School of Law.


Richard Freeman is a C-17 instructor and evaluator pilot for the 300th Airlift Squadron at Joint Base Charleston, and was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air Force Reserves. Richard is also a pilot for American Airlines. He and his wife, Karen, have two daughters: Stella and Calista.


Patrick Ryan is a vascular surgeon and founder of Nashville Vascular and Vein Institute. The Institute is the only vascular practice in Middle Tennessee fully participating in the Vascular Quality Initiative, the only quality metric used and approved by the Society for Vascular Surgery. Ryan was recently appointed to the national quality performance and metrics committee for the Society for Vascular Surgery.


Richard Gilbert has joined Shelter Lending Services in Charleston as a senior loan officer.

Thorsten Path is a financial advisor based in Asheville, NC.


Michael Scarafile, president of Carolina One Real Estate Services, has been named by the Swanepoel T3 Group as one of the top 200 Most Powerful People in Residental Real Estate for 2016. These real estate leaders are selected based upon their personal influence, tenure, decision-making power, and their organization's industry significance and geographical reach.


Stephanie Gause Flynn has joined the Greenville, SC office of Smith Moore Leatherwood LLP as a litigation attorney. She will focus on toxic and mass torts, and asbestos litigation, as well as products liability, transportation litigation, and apellate work. Stephanie received her law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law.


Craig Furlano is a managing partner within the information technology division of New Directions in Mount Pleasant. Craig lives on James Island with his wife, Jaci, their three children, and two dogs.

Rich Light and Alice Bickley Light '03 welcomed their second daughter, Louise "Wells" Chriswell Light, on April 8, 2016. She joins big sister Ann. Rich earned his architectural hardware consulting (AHC) credential, through the Door and Hardware Institute and is proudly a door security and safety professional. He is an end user sales manager at Skyline Door & Hardware in Roanoke, VA.

Jaime Westendorff McBride and husband, James, are proud parents of Julia E. McBride born on July 26, 2016. Julia joins big sister, Jemma. Jaime is the operations director for NCR Carolinas in Charleston.

Jeanie McAdams Moore is senior advisor for private sector initiatives at the Department of Homeland Security. She earned her master's degree in national and homeland security studies in March 2014 from the Naval Postgraduate School.


Margaret Seeley Furniss and her husband, Kris, own Caviar and Bananas, a gourmet market and cafe. Margaret was selected as one of "the Forty under 40" for 2017 by the Charleston Regional Business Journal.


Richard Pierce is a vice president and portfolio manager for BNC Bank in Charleston. He was selected as one of the "Forty under 40" for 2017 by the Charleston Regional Business Journal.

Margaret Anne Florence Siachos plays the female lead in the new CMT television series, "Sun Records". Margaret Anne plays Marion Keisker, the real life assistant to Sam Phillips, who started Sun Records in Memphis, and launched the careers of Elvis, Johnny Cash, and Jerry Lee Lewis.


Megan Griffith Sandefur is an interior designer at CHD Interiors in Mount Pleasant, SC. Megan and her husband, Joseph, have two children: Lily and Jackson. Megan earned her Juris Doctorate from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2006.

Katie McDonald Windham is the librarian, director of after hours, and co-director of Camp Crusader at St. Louis King of France School. She and her husband, Justin, live in Metairie, LA with their four children: Juniper, Mabel, Atticus, and Keats.


Robin Franco Bromberg co-founded the law firm, Langley & Bromberg LLC ,in January 2016, which represents investor-owned electric utilities in the fields of telecom law and spent nuclear fuel litigation. Robin earned her J.D. from Tulane Law School and is married to Clayton Bromberg. They have one daughter, Zoe, born October 29, 2014.

Angharad Chester-Jones is director of public relations and marketing at Regan Communications, and is a speaker for the 2017 Center for Women Conference.

Trey Jameson was selected as one of the Forty under 40 for 2017 by the Charleston Regional Business Journal. Trey is an attorney with the Jameson Law Firm.

Helen Kimsey Rogers is the assistant director of conservation and stewardship for the Lowcountry Land Trust in Charleston. She earned her master's degree in landscape architecture from Clemson University in 2008. Helen and her husband, David, have one son, Sam E. Rogers IV, born October 22, 2015.

Crystal Smith-Connelly's short play "Playing Doctor" will be performed during 2Cents Theatre's Acting Out INK Fest, March 17-19, at the Hudson Theatre in Hollywood.

Garron Wright is a bioinformatics group lead at the David H. Murdock Research Institute in Kannapolis, NC. Garron earned his Ph.D from the University of South Carolina in bioinformatics. He and his wife, Sarah, have three children: Katie, Mikaela, and Kaeden.


Eliza Lacey was promoted to branch manager at South State Bank's Broad Street location in downtown Charleston. Eliza has been with the bank four years.

Bryan Pittman is a capital sales manager at Medtronic Early Technologies. Bryan lives in Mount Pleasant, SC.

Lauren Beddia Rust started the Lowcountry Marine Mammal Network, an organization dedicated to protecting marine mammals through science, awareness, and conservation.

Abby Henry Walker is the program assistant at Charleston Promise Neighborhood, and recently became the program coordinator with Dr. Courtney Howard in the Afterschool and Summer Learning Resource Center at the College, primarily focusing on grants and research.


Stacey Barber Hollings and husband, Robbie, are proud parents of Eleanor "Ellie" Louise Hollings, born on December 14, 2016. Stacey is a senior tax manager with Elliott Davis Decosimo in Charleston, and also serves on the College of Charleston Alumni Association Board of Directors.

Michelle Kerner moved to Madrid, Spain this past summer to start her new role as external relations specialist at McKinsey & Company, where she specializes in client events, knowledge dissemination, publications, and social media. Michelle has spent the past five years in Singapore and Hong Kong.

Andrew Millikan and Amanda Clayton are the proud parents of Lawson Douglas Millikan, born on November 20, 2016. Andy earned his M.B.A. from UNC Charlotte in 2008.

Amy Speck Moffett and her husband, Tom, welcomed their son, Sullivan Thomas Moffett, to their family October 30, 2015. Their four-year-old daughter, Elaina Grace, loves her baby brother. Amy is a pediatric nurse practitioner at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Ohio.


Sarah Brosch works at New York University Langone Medical Center as a nurse clinician. Sarah earned a bachelor's in nursing from New York University and a master's in health education from the Teachers College of Columbia University.

Joseph Garcia has been promoted to senior associate attorney with Buist Byars & Taylor LLC. He handles residential real estate matters and helps manage the firm's Johns Island office. Joseph earned his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law.

Claire Gatlin was selected as one of the "Forty under 40" for 2017 by the Charleston Regional Business Journal. Claire is a school counselor at Wando High School in Mount Pleasant.

Christopher Holland is a claims specialist for the Social Security Administration and lives in Maryland with his wife, Tamara, and two children: Christia and Maddox.


Melissa Barbour (MS) was selected as one of the "Forty under 40" for 2017 by the Charleston Regional Business Journal. Melissa is a tax manager for the accounting firm, WebsterRogers.

Brandon Belk is the owner of Wich Cream, a "farm-to freezer" ice cream company that uses locally sourced ingredients in the ice cream.

Barbara Carter is president of the Charleston Association of Legal Assistants for 2014-2017. She is a paralegal with the Mount Pleasant law firm: Richardson, Patrick, Westbrook & Brickman.

Lindsay Gregg was named Recruiter of the Year for 2016 at StraussGroup, a boutique executive search consulting firm in Buffalo, NY.

Christina Callison Kubinska and husband, Denny, are proud parents of Halina Jane, born on January 8, 2017. Halina joins big brother, Dorn.

Erin Marie Ulmer (MAT '11) was selected as one of the "Forty under 40" for 2017 by the Charleston Regional Business Journal. Erin is executive director of Camp Rise Above which serves children with serious illnesses, life challenges, and disabilities.


Johnny Caldwell is co-founder of Cocktail Bandits, a lifestyle brand that provides a feminine, urban perspective on the spirits industry. Johnny is a speaker for the 2017 Center for Women Conference.

Brady Quirk-Garvan is in business development with Money With a Mission. He was selected as one of the "Forty under 40" for 2017 by the Charleston Regional Business Journal. Brady serves on the College of Charleston Alumni Association Board of Directors.

Lauren Wegmann married Alston Walker on December 17, 2016 in New Orleans, LA. Lauren earned her M.B.A. from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University and is working for Tulane.


Patti Byrd has been promoted to private banker at South State Bank and is based in the Broad Street office in downtown Charleston.

Ben Garrick and Andrea Shipp Garrick are proud parents of Amelia Paige Garrick, born on February 17, 2017.

Monika Franczyk married Christian Gulizzi in December 2015, and lives in Atlanta, GA.

Valerie Kneece and Corbyn Harris '10 married on October 1, 2016. Valerie is a certified wound care nurse at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Austin Huff married Rusty Patrick on December 17, 2016. Austin is the marketing project manager for ScanSource in Greenville, SC.

Lewkora Phillips is the revenue manager and sales coordinator for Supercity Aparthotels in London.


Aaron Badway recently started work as a policy advisor for the United Kingdom government. Previously, Aaron was a consultant for the World Bank Group. He earned a masters in international economics and international relations from the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies at The Johns Hopkins University in 2015.

Claire Hite is an account manager for IgnitionOne in Atlanta, GA. She and Jake Verbiest were married August 19, 2016.

Liz Poore Humphrey is marketing communications manager for the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties in Bellevue, Washington.

Erin Wooten married Michael Larsen on December 29, 2016. Erin earned her M.A.T. in secondary English from The Citadel in 2012.

Jennifer Arnold Maxwell is director of sales at Hilton Garden Inn Charleston/ Mount Pleasant, and was awarded one of four Director of Sales Merit Awards in North America for 2016.

Leslie McMurchie is a senior marketing analyst at Ancestry, and is currently working toward her MBA at the University of California, Berkeley.


Eliza Bordley is the Durham urban agriculture manager for the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, a nontraditional food bank which works to provide better access to healthy foods to low-income populations.

Stephanie Gregg is a speech-language pathologist at Therapy Solutions of Georgia. She earned her master's degree in speech therapy at the University of South Carolina in 2013.

Paul Appleton (MPA) is currently at John Marshall Law School earning his Juris Doctor, and expects to graduate in 2019.

Grayce Batson has joined The Crossings at Wescott Plantation as life enrichment director.

Corey Hall is the program coordinator at Saint Petersburg Sailing Center in Florida, where she assists young children in learning the fundamentals of sailing.

Brooke King was recently accepted into the College of Dental Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina. She is excited to be returning to Charleston.

Emma Nash married Chase Mills on November 19, 2016, in Mount Pleasant, SC. Emma is employed by The Island School on Johns Island.

Cara Musciano is director of operations at the Southern food magazine, The Local Palate, in Charleston, SC.

Ricardo Robinson (M.Ed) is an assistant principal for the Charleston County School District.


Caitlin Altman married Bryce Jordan on August 6, 2016. Caitlin is currently a student at Francis Marion University earning her masters in physician assistant studies.

Damian Nelson is working on his M.A.T. at UNC Charlotte, and expects to graduate in 2020.

Mollie Saunders married Thomas Oswald on May 30, 2015. Mollie is the guest relations manager at Duck Bottom Plantation in Rembert, SC.

Alex Pappas is the engagement coordinator for Lowcountry Local First, an entrepreneurial nonprofit organization made up of more than 500 local businesses and commnity leaders working to transform and model a sustainable local economy in the Charleston area. Alex will work to increase membership diversity, lead sponsorship recruitmen, coordinate events, and support the community of local businesses.


Erica Arbetter is the digital director for the American Action Network and Congressional Leadership Fund in Washington, D.C.

Thomas Brady is a data scientist for T and T Consulting Services, Inc. in Washington, D.C.


Mariah Fleming and David Nasrollahi were married in downtown Charleston in December 2016. Mariah works at the North Charleston Coliseum while David is finishing up his final year at the University of South Carolina School of Law.

Cassandra Glass-Royal is pursuing her MFA in interior architecture and design at George Washington University, and plans to graduate this May.

Kathleen Anderson Schuler is director of events at King Street Hospitality Group, a full-service boutique hospitality management company with distinctive Charleston venues.

Lindsay Stroda is the sales and marketing coordinator for Neighborhood Lender, Inc. in Charlotte.

Andrew White is attending the University of Minnesota in pursuit of his doctorate in dentistry.


Meghan Angelo is an English teacher for the Berkeley County School District in South Carolina.

Master Bines has been recognized as a new agent for the most relocation outgoing referrals in his office at Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in North Charleston.

Rebecca Drewry is currently earning her master's degree in higher education administration at Northeastern University, and expects to graduate in June 2017.

Alex Ellis rejoined his alma mater as an assistant coach for the men's golf team. Alex holds the distinction of being the only golfer in program history to qualify and play in three U.S. Amateur Championships.

Katie Fary is currently pursuing her doctorate of pharmacy from the Medical University of South Carolina and expects to graduate in 2019.

Danielle Lockemy is currently studying for her masters in sport management at the University of Florida and expects to graduate in December 2018. She is the ticket operations coordinator at the Richmond International Raceway in Richmond, VA.

Christine Policastro is a client services coordinator at Focus Medical Communications in Parsippany, NY. She works for CofC alumna, Anne Balart Michaels '98.

Jamie Reynolds is a portfolio and systems analyst at Dividend Assets Capital in Ridgeland, SC.

Natasha Senken is an assistant swimming coach at Adelphi University in Garden City, NY.

Eleanor Sheers is a graduate student at the Kellogg School of Management in Illinois, and expects to graduate in May 2017.

Brianna Stepney is a research assistant at the Medical University of South Carolina.
