Norma Jo Daniels Rogers lives in Charleston and is the proud grandmother of Grayson Barker, born on October 11, 2015.

Johnny Warren was included on the 2017 Woodward/ White Inc.'s The Best Lawyers In America rankings. He  ranked among the country's best lawyers in banking and finance, corporate law, financial services regulation law, real estate law, securities/ capital markets law, and securities regulation. Johnny is a partner at Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice, LLP in Charleston.


Paul Sandifer and Betty Watkins Sandifer '84 celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in September.  Both are retired and enjoy travelling and being with grandchildren.  They are planning a trip to England, Scotland and Wales to continue their anniversary celebration.


Bud Ferillo has been chosen as a recipient of a 2016 Governor's Award in the Humanities. His leadership in the areas of public education and civil rights makes him one of South Carolina's top advocates for social justice. Bud is an activist and filmmaker whose documentary, Corridor of Shame,  The Neglect of South Carolina's Rural Schools ,won six national awards.  Bud coordinates the South Carolina Collaborative for Race and Reconciliation at the University of South Carolina.


Greg Phelps ,after six years as medical director at UT Hospice, is now chief medical officer at a much larger hospice in Chattanooga, with a wider range of services. Greg and wife, Gayle, now have three grandchildren, all legacies from their two College of Charleston graduate children.


Charles Marshall has retired from Mappus Insurance after 23 years of service to the agency and over 30 years in the insurance industry.  He and his wife, Bradford,  plan to travel and volunteer through their church with their free time.


Ron Burch is an experienced biopharmaceutical executive with a professional career spanning more than 25 years. Ron has recently joined Relmada Therapeutics as an advisory planner.

Helen Swain Stine is pleased to announce her debut novel, The Truthful Story ,has been published and released.    The launch for the book will be held in Charleston on October 16 at Blue Bicycle Books.  The book, which is set in the Lowcountry in the 1960s, is also being adapted into a screenplay.

Ted Zorn is dean of business and deputy vice-chancellor at Massey University in Auckland, New Zealand. He and his wife, Brenda Shute, have one daughter, Andrea Shute Zorn. Ted earned both his master's degree and his PhD from the University of Kentucky.


Ray Blouin is the music program coordinator at Virginia Program for Aging Services. Before coming to the College, Ranger was with The Wayfarers, RCA Victor recording artists.  After two retirements, he is still writing, performing, and recording folk music with the group, "B Squared +2".

Larry Gale is an award-winning photographer and also plays percussion for the North Charleston Pops.


Kim Moorer McDermott has published two novels since retiring: Hiding ,a suspense romance that won a Daphne du Maurier Award, and Abbey's Tale , a historical fiction.


Chuck Baker was included on the 2017 Woodward/ White Inc.'s The Best Lawyers In America rankings. Baker ranked among the country's best lawyers in bet-the-company litigation, commercial litigation, and construction litigation. Chuck is the office managing partner at Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice in Charleston.

Collins ranked among the country's best lawyers in admiralty and maritime law, and product liability litigation (defendants). David is Of Counsel with the firm of Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice, LLC in Charleston.


Howard Hall is the director of the UT Institute for Nuclear Security in Knoxville, Tenn. and senior fellow and director of global security policy programs at the Howard H. Baker Jr. Center for Public Policy.

Melissa Commander Zanni is president of Zanni Inc., a consulting firm that assists medical practices in meeting CMS compliance regulations, and to achieve patient centered medical home recognition.


Lori Gehring is a mortgage loan officer for Fifth Third Mortgage in Atlanta, GA.

Frank Wells is the executive director and owner of Renew IV Spa located on King Street in Charleston.  


Devon Wray Hanahan teaches Spanish at the College of Charleston and has been named the top professor in the country by the popular website Her first-place ranking is based on 109 ratings from students who gushed about their favorite professor. Devon has placed in the top ten multiple times, including two second-place ratings.


David Duncan is a senior physician advisor for Inova Health System, a non-profit health care system.

Jeff Gardner has been named a recipient of the Mastership Award from the Academy of General Dentistry.  Jeff lives in Mount Pleasant, SC.

Ashley Harding Gess earned a Ph.D. in integrative STEAM education from Virginia Tech and now is an  assistant professor of STEAM education at Augusta University in Augusta, GA.

Ben Glass, managing shareholder of the Charleston office of Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C., has been named for the second consecutive year in Best Lawyers in America, in the area of employment law - management.

Elizabeth Collier Inabinet is managing partner at McGregor and Company, LLP ,a regional South Carolina firm,  based in Orangeburg, providing accounting, auditing, tax, and management services.

Leon Stavrinakis is an attorney practicing all purpose civil and criminal law at the Stavrinakis Law Firm, LLC in Charleston.  He is also a member of the South Carolina General Assembly, serving in the House of Representatives.


Athan Fokas is an executive officer of the Greater Charleston Restaurant Association.  He owns Old Towne Grill & Seafood in downtown Charleston.

Dave Lobo was recently recognized as one of the inventors of Business Directory Assistance VIA STB by the U.S. Patent Office. Dave is an adjunct professor of digital marketing at Collin College in Frisco, Tex.


Wendy Caldwell Richardson was recently promoted to professor of Spanish at Francis Marion University in Florence, S.C. This summer she was selected and participated in the 2016 Bread Loaf Writers' Conference in Vermont. She also currently serves on the Fulbright Screening Committee.  

Ellen Hankin Rickenbaker and Brad Rickenbaker are the owners of Joint Venture Estate Jewelers in Charleston. Joint Venture specializes in the consignment and resale of fine jewelry and watches and recently celebrated 26 years of business on King Street.

David Seay earned his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1994 and  owns a law practice in Greenville, SC, David Seay, Jr. LLC.

Mijanou Malise Sprudle is first vice president, senior portfolio manager, and branch manager at the Morgan Stanley Miami Beach office. Mijanou lives with her husband, Craig, and son, Brooks, in Miami Beach, FL.


Jonathan Bruckner is market vice president of the Florida and Texas markets for Tiffany and Co.  He oversees 17 Tiffany and Co. store locations.

Cindy Pittman Santa Ana is an integrative nutrition health coach at her company, Unlock Better Health. Cindy authored the book, Unprocessed Living, to help families learn how to read food labels and transition away from processed foods.


John Coleman is the director of career development at Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC.


Jennifer Streaks is a financial and affordable lifestyle expert, writer, and commentator. Jennifer is heavily involved in philanthropic endeavors in Washington, DC and New York and on the constant look out for the best deals and steals in home décor, health & beauty, and travel, and offering her tips for financial success online and on-air. Jennifer earned her JD from Howard University and her MBA from Johns Hopkins University.


Cherisse Jones-Branch (MA '97) was promoted to professor of history at Arkansas State University-Jonesboro. She is also the director of the newly established ASTATE Digital Press.

Alex Mundin is national sales manager for PayLease, a company that provides online payments, resident billing, and management tools to HOAs.


Johnathan Bailey is the proud father of George Leslie Bailey, born on May 18, 2016. Johnathan is the principal at Health System Advisors, a company that focuses on strategic issues facing hospitals and health systems.

Mason Crews is owner and executive chef of Crews Cuisine, a small catering business. Crews is also chef de garde manager at Cannon Green in Charleston.

Marty Huggins and his artificial turf company, Palmetto Moon Synthetic Turf, was recently featured in the summer issue of Charleston Style and Design  magazine. Marty's company installs artificial turf and synthetic lawns across the Carolinas and Georgia.

Stephanie Leonard Yarbrough was included on the 2017 Woodward/ White Inc.'s The Best Lawyers In America rankings. Yarbrough ranked among the country's best lawyers in economic development law. She is a partner in the Charleston office of Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice, LLP.


Sue Mills Campbell is a licensed Real Estate professional with Matt O'Neill Real Estate in Charleston.

Kathy Twombley was awarded the Outstanding Clinician Award by the Medical University of South Carolina Foundation. Kathy is the medical director for the pediatric kidney transplant program and division chief for pediatric nephrology.


Heather Crosby, adjunct professor of history at the College, spent the summer teaching sailors American history onboard the USS San Jacinto, deployed to the Middle East. During her tour, Heather traveled through the Straits of Gibraltar, to Naples, went through the Suez Canal, and saw Egypt.

Lisa McMillan Garvin works at Berkshire Hathaway Southern Coast Real Estate as office manager at their West Ashley location.

Lydia Kikunda Masao is an author for Rowman and Littlefield Publishing Group, and earned her master's degree in child development and education from the University of Oxford in 2014.


Jordan Jaskwhich Elm is an associate professor of biostatistics at the Medical University of South Carolina. She received a Ph.D. in biostatistics at MUSC in 2009 and a master's degree in psychology/ neuroscience at the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Michael Hickerson has been selected by the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce for participation in Leadership Charleston Class of 2017. Michael was recognized for three consecutive years as a South Carolina  "Super Lawyer" for business/corporate (2013- 2015). He is an attorney with Smith Moore Leatherwood.

Colleen Thompson is the executive assistant to the CEO at Incapital in Boca Raton, Fla.  The company is a leading underwriter and distributor that provides a diverse network of investment professionals access to a wide range of product offerings.


Amanda Heller Farnum and husband, Brian, are owners of Wehgo, a company that focuses on creating and designing modern souvenir paint-by-number kits.

Eric Kasimov is founder and president of KazSource, a marketing company that facilitates content creation and distribution for business owners.


Ray Berrouet has joined the King Charles Inn in downtown Charleston as director of sales. Ray will be responsible for implementing a creative marketing plan that attracts new and repeat guests, development of strategic sales initiatives, and continuing the effort to deliver outstanding guest service.

Andrew Colvin and his family were recently featured in Daniel Island News . Andrew is director of legal affairs at Gildan Activewear and earned his MBA and JD from the University of South Carolina.  He and his wife, Ginger, have two daughters.

Damon Fordham (MA) is an adjunct professor of history, public speaking, and critical thinking at Virginia College in Charleston and also teaches a yearly seminar in African American and United States history at Charleston Southern University.  He is the author of three books: True Stories of Black South Carolina ,Voices of Black South Carolina  , and  the novel, Mr. Potts and Me.  He was a featured author at the first Black Ink: The Charleston African American Book Festival in September.

Margaret Seeley Furniss, co-owner/co-founder of Caviar & Bananas, opened two new locations this summer - one in the Charleston International Airport and one in Greenville, SC.  This brings the total number of C&B locations to four.

Peter Gremillion is regional practice group leader in Germany at SpenglerFox, a global talent consultancy.

Karen Earley Parker owns Hickory Bluff Berry Farm near Holly Hill, SC, where she grows strawberries, blueberries, and a variety of produce. During April, May, and June, they can be found at the downtown and Summerville farmers markets.

Pamela Czerepuszko Wilcoxson was named media and sourcing director with VantagePoint Marketing in Greenville, SC.\


Stephen Christanthus is associate director of the Delray Beach Marketing Cooperative and associate editor of Frequent Flyer Magazine.

Jennifer Arato has been promoted to senior vice president at the Bank of South Carolina, and is head of the credit department.

Sean Raftree is vice president of business development at, which helps facilitate easy hotel reservation booking for guests.

Ellis Roberts and his wife, Mary, are proud parents of Albert "Bert" Ellis, born on September 2, 2016.  The Roberts family lives in Mount Pleasant. SC.  Ellis is an attorney with McLeod Law Group, LLC.

Christi Wickliffe-Bessinger is the advertising and marketing manager for Garden City Realty, Inc. in Garden City Beach, SC.


Amity Sullivan Edmonds earned her Juris Doctor at Charleston School of Law in 2012, and now is associate attorney at Gallivan, White and Boyd, P.A. in Greenville, SC.

Christiane Gaul has studied and worked abroad for ten years in the United States, Chile, Brazil, Spain, and Qatar.  She graduated with an MBA and MA in Latin American and Caribbean Studies from Florida International University in 2010 and completed her Ph.D. in management sciences at the University of Latvia in June 2016.  She is now back home in Germany.

Shawn Holland was inducted into the T.L. Hanna High School Hall of Fame in Anderson, SC in September  Shawn was a left-handed pitcher for the College and is now vice president of City Glass & Mirror Company in Anderson, SC.   He and his wife, Emily, have one son, Beckett.

Gabriel Mack and  Lesslie Martin Mack live in Tega Cay, SC with their three daughters: Cydney, Kayla and Madyson.  Gabriel is regional manager for Masco Cabinetry and Lesslie is a vice president and branch manager for Park Sterling Bank in North Carolina.

Julia Jaskwhich Rodriguez is  a psychiatric nurse practitioner and also the artistic director/principal choreographer of Buen Ache Afro-Latino Dance Company in Charleston, SC.  

Stewart Vernon, founder and CEO of America's Swimming Pool Company (ASP), has begun his role as a professor at the Stetson School of Business and Economics at Mercer University teaching a course titled "Seminar in Entrepreneurship".  ASP is the nation's largest swimming pool maintenance and repair company.


Rhetta Simon Cloyd is senior vice president of sales and marketing at iHeartMedia, Inc. Rhetta is also a Cougar Club Board member and an advisor for Alpha Delta Pi.

Rebecca Suarez Guthrie is the founder and CEO of Preclose, an app that was recently named a finalist at the annual Realogy FWD Innovation Summit. Preclose is a mobile app for real estate agents, consumers and service professionals. Rebecca is also the founder and CEO of Sweet Spot Operations which works with fast-growing companies to maximize their productivity.

Marjan Stojiljkovic is project manager and an energy finance expert at the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management in Frankfurt, Germany.


Hillary Rich Fowler and her husband, Travis, are the founders and owners of Nook and Cranny Company: Antique and Heirloom Restoration, a company that focuses on the repair, restoration and rejuvenation of everyday and antique furniture. Nook and Cranny serves the Carolinas and surrounding areas.

Caitlin Shockley is the founder and owner of The Creative, a company that supports brands in the fashion world. With offices in both New York City and Los Angeles, The Creative works with brands in strategy and positioning, event concepting, runway show orchestration, and more.


Thad Beckner has joined Inroads Realty, a Dallas-based retail real estate company as vice president. Thad brings over ten years of experience specializing in retail project leasing, tenant representation and investment sales.

T.J. Clayton and wife, Victoria, are proud parents of Cannon James, born in April 2016.  Cannon joins big brother, Max. The family recently relocated to Columbia, SC for T.J.'s new position as assistant vice president at Colonial Life.

Brett Gardner is one of thirty professional baseball players nominated for the 2016 Roberto Clemente Award.  The award recognizes players who have made positive contributions on and off the field. Brett was a charter member of the Taylor Hooton Foundation's Advisory Board to educate youth about performance-enhancing drugs and his extensive community outreach also includes heavy involvement with the Ronald McDonald House in SC and NY.   Brett is an outfielder with the New York Yankees.

Nick Jenkins is a local musician who was recently featured in The Post and Courier.  He is known as a great musical collaborator, and his musical talents refuse to fit into one specific genre. Nick is currently working on music for a puppet show and curating a multimedia group art show in Columbia, SC.

Shannon Madden (MA '09) earned her Ph.D. in composition, rhetoric, and literacy from the University of Oklahoma in 2015, and is an assistant professor in the department of writing and rhetoric at the University of Rhode Island.

Gray McDowell earned his M.P.S. from Penn State University in 2012 in human resources and employee relations and now works as a training and development specialist for Hyundai MOBIS in Plymouth, Mich.


Adam Briskin-Limehouse works at Optimal Solutions Group in College Park, MD as a research analyst. Adam earned his MPP at Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, and lives in Silver Spring, Maryland with his wife, Laura.

Nate Chapman earned his Ph.D. in sociology from Virginia Tech in 2015 and recently completed an edited volume on the socio-cultural dimensions of the craft beer movement entitled Untapped: Exploring the Cultural Dimensions of  Craft  Beer . Nate is an assistant professor of sociology at Arkansas Tech University.

Michael Cody and Logan Honeycutt '09 are founders of BareItAll Petfoods, a business that creates all natural, limited ingredient dog treats that are environmentally friendly.   The company is based in Chicago.

Dickie Dyas is director of federal government sales at Comcast Business in Washintgon, D.C.

Sylvia Loadholdt Hanckel is senior simulation specialist at HealthCare Simulation South Carolina.

Andrew Muller and Ali Fisher Muller '07 announce the birth of their daughter, Penelope Charlotte "Poppy", on September 13.  Andrew is the owner of Mappus Insurance Agency in Mount Pleasant, SC and Ali is the owner of A. Caldwell Events.


Will Beam and wife, Heather Huff Beam, announce the birth of their daughter, Hannah Elizabeth "Hannah Beth", on August 22, in Greenville, SC.

Kristen Munsey Beckham was recently named one of Columbia's Best and Brightest 35 and Under by Business Monthly Columbia.  She has also been named to Leadership South Carolina.  Kristen helps lead the external affairs initiatives of Dominion Resources in Georgia and South Carolina. She also serves as a member of the College of Charleston Alumni Board.

Melissa Rhoderick Dwyer and her husband, Patrick, are new parents to Luke, born April 11, 2016. Melissa, a CPA, earned a master's degree in accounting at the University of Virginia and is the chief financial officer of Mater Dei School in Bethesda, Maryland.

Amanda Stevenson Grover is owner of Grover Web Design in Columbia, SC, where they have experience developing web portals that run the day to day operations of any company.

Ansley Hunt is a refugee officer for the Refugee, Asylum, and International Operations Directorate of the Department of Homeland Security. She graduated from the University of Glasgow in Scotland in 2015 with a master's degree in human rights and international politics.

Kyle Keepers is in his 4th year studying for his Ph.D. in ecology and evolutionary biology at University of Colorado, Boulder.

Ben Kradin is corporate manager of information security and data privacy at Osram Sylvania in the Boston area.  Ben earned his JD from Suffolk University Law School and a master in environmental law and policy from Vermont Law School.  He also holds a master's degree in international business economics from the University of London.

Rachel Folk married Alex McCracken on September 9, 2016. Rachel is a recruiter for AmeriCorps NCCC. She and her husband live in Louisville, CO.

Sarah Pariser is director of grants and programs at the Women's Fund of Central Ohio, where she is searching for root-cause solutions to create lasting, positive change for women and girls in her community.

Daniel Powell married Sarah Milligan in County Kerry, Ireland in August 2016.  Powell earned a PhD in English-Early Modern Studies and the Digital Humanities at the University of Victoria in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada in June 2016. Daniel and Sarah currently live in London, United Kingdom, where he is a  Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellow in the Digital Scholarly Editions Initial Training (DiXiT) Network and Early Stage Researcher in the Department of Digital Humanities, King's College London. He has recently presented work in the United States, Australia, Germany, Britain, and Canada.

Stephanie Pridgeon received her PhD in Spanish from Emory University in 2015 after completing an MA in Spanish at the University of Virginia. She is currently a visiting assistant professor of Spanish at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine.

Wade Reardon is an ophthalmologist at Southern Eye Associates in Greenville, SC. Wade and his wife, Jennie, have a daughter, Lottie, born on April 19, 2015.

Daniel Rodriguez is currently employed as an attorney with the law firm, Watt, Tieder, Hoffar, & Fitzgerald, LLP. Daniel currently volunteers as an Attorney-Advisor with the United States Department of Commerce. His work there is devoted to training and coaching law students in the Middle East, North Africa, and Afghanistan to compete in the Willem C. Vis International Arbitration Moot Competition. Daniel, an alum of the same competition, coached the first team to compete in the competition from Afghanistan, a team of four women from Kabul University.  Daniel and his wife live in Washington, DC.

Jessica Berry married John Carlisle Skinner, Jr, on May 7, 2016 in Mount Pleasant, SC.  The couple will live in Charleston.

Kaley Ruebush Thomas is designer and co-founder at Go Bigfoot Designs. She specializes in Wordpress web design, logo creation, branding, and product design, among other creative endeavors. She and her husband, Taylor Thomas '08, have taken their businesses fully mobile and have been exploring the United States.


Sarah Harvey Ali earned a master's degree in Arab Studies from Georgetown University. She and her husband, Nabil, and daughter, Savannah, live in northern Iraq where Sarah is a program manager for education and child protection with Catholic Relief Services.

Liz Jewett Becker and her husband, Robert, welcomed a daughter, Ryland Elizabeth, on March 31, 2016. Liz is an registered nurse in Richmond, VA.

Kathryn Pedings Behling and her husband, Ted, are new parents of twins: Violet and Carson, born May 13, 2016.

Rene Bock is head of talent management at Steinbeis Hochschule Berlin in Germany. He also teaches global leadership and management pro bono at two universities in Germany. Rene was an exchange student at the College in 2008.

Emily Cloessner is a first-year medical student at the Medical University of South Carolina. She has been employed as a fellow with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention since earning a master's degree in public health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Cullen Cooke earned a master's degree in speech pathology from South Carolina State University in 2016. He is  a clinical fellow at the Piedmont Regional Feeding Clinic in Danville, Virginia.

Jarryd de Boer is a third-year law student at the University of Denver - Sturm College of  Law.

Laura Liady Gaskins alongside her mother, Frankie Liady, own Marigolds, a home decor and unique gift store in the middle of historic downtown Summerville, SC. The store recently celebrated its 10th anniversary.

Natalie Gordon and Charles Gubman '07 married on August 27, 2016. Natalie works for LinkedIn as an account executive of marketing solutions, and Charlie is a business analyst at Legal and General Investment Management America in Chicago.

Carolyn Lamparelli Hall and her husband, Brandon, welcomed their daughter, Paige Patricia, to the world June 30, 2016. Carolyn earned a Doctor of Pharmacy from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in 2012, and is a clinical pharmacist at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Emrys Jaskwhich Hamidi earned her M.D. from MUSC in May 2016 and is a medical resident in Florence, SC.

Katie Heath has joined Porter-Gaud School as the director of alumni relations and events.

Ashley Stokes Hitchcock and husband, Vic,  are proud parents of Victor Eugene Hitchcock III, born on June 23, 2016.

Sophie Katz is chief medical resident at St. Christopher's Hospital in the Philadelphia area. She earned an M.D. from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center.

Clay Lifton graduated from MUSC College of Medicine in May 2014. He is a medical resident in emergency medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School.

Sarah Coulter McKenzie graduated from Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Denver, Colorado and will complete her medical residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2017. Sarah married Drew McKenzie in October 2014.

Brooke  Nicholls is a family nurse practitioner at One Community Health, a community health clinic in Hood River, Oregon that serves most of the local Hispanic community. She uses her Spanish skills and works on health promotion and diabetes management. Brooke earned a MSN at Duke University and a BSN at the University of Portland.

Katie Cleary Parrish is the founder and director of the PhD Swim School in Durham, NC.  Katie earned a PhD in neurobiology at UNC Chapel Hill and lives in Durham with her husband, Seth.

Andrea Peterson earned an M.D. and also a Master of Science in clinical research from the Medical University of South Carolina. She is a first-year OB/GYN medical resident at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas.

Noelle Radcliffe Price and husband, James,  welcomed their daughter, Mia Celeste, to the world June 1, 2016.  Noelle is a licensed attorney and freelance legal writer. She is also a travel consultant with Newsome Travel.

Hallie Ritzu is an associate at McDermott Will & Emery in Chicago, Illinois. She earned a Juris Doctor at Northwestern University School of Law in 2014.

Greg Rockwell married Robyn Haarland on April 2, 2016. They became social media stars last year when Greg proposed to Robyn in the Washington, DC Rosslyn metro station and shared a photo in a tweet. The tweet went viral and was covered in the Washington Post. Greg earned a master's degree in social work at the University of South Carolina and is community relations manager with Thrive DC.

Jessica Trombetta- eSilva is a post-doctoral fellow researching periodontal disease at Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry. Jessica graduated from the MUSC College of Dental Medicine with a DMD and the MUSC College of Graduate Studies with a PhD in molecular and cellular biology and pathobiology in 2016. Jessica and her husband, Pedro, have three children: Gabriella and Giovanny (born August 2014), and Mackenzie (born July 2016). The family lives in Dallas, TX.

Jasmine Utsey is working as a project manager in the newest museum within the Smithsonian Institution, the National Museum of African American History and Culture. Jasmine manages operations for the musuem's cafe and retail shops. She earned her M.A. in public humanities from Brown University in 2012.  


Courtney Drew Bailey is a third year OB/GYN resident physician at Houston Methodist Hospital. She is a 2014 graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and after residency plans to pursue a fellowship in gynecologic oncology. Courtney married her husband, Eric Bailey, in 2014 in Charleston.

Anna Chard is a PhD student in the environmental health sciences program at the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University. She received a master's degrees in public health from the Rollins School of Public Health, Emory University, in 2013.

Riley Duke Connick and Brendan Connick '08 announce the birth of their son, Paul Duke Connick, born in New Orleans on November 24, 2015. Riley was a member of Teach for America before joining the ReNEW Schools in New Orleans.

Caitlin Patneaude married Ryan Davenport on November 23, 2013, and  works for Keller Williams at the Parks as a property manager in Orlando, Florida.

David Diamant earned his M.D. from St. George's University in Grenada in April 2014. He is a medical resident at Greenville Hospital System in Greenville, SC.

Ben Garrick and Andrea Shipp Garrick graduated from MUSC College of Medicine in May 2013. Ben completed his medical residency in emergency medicine at Georgia Regents University in Augusta, GA in June 2016. Andrea will complete her OB/GYN residency at Georgia Regents University in June 2017.  Ben and Andrea were married on October 13, 2012.

Jason Humphrey is director of client services for Amplo Advance, a tech software startup in Seattle that provides universities with an online giving platform that enables institutions to fully engage their alumni.  The company's clients include Notre Dame, Stanford, and The University of Texas, to name a few.

Brian Kennedy and Elena Dowin Kennedy moved to Rhode Island in 2011 and got married in 2012. They now live in Elon, NC, where Elena is an assistant professor of entrepreneurship at Elon University, and Brian is an expedition coordinator and telepresence consultant for NOAA's Office of Ocean Exploration.

Allison Lewis married Emmanuel Maniwang on March 21, 2016. Allison earned her MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management in September.

Annie Chambers Myott is founder of Beach House Branding, a Southern California-based digital marketing company, for small businesses that specialize in hospitality and tourism, though all types of businesses are welcome.

Kora Phillips is revenue coordinator for Cheval Residences, Ltd. in London, England.

Alexis Cunningham married Jacob Portrait on October 16, 2015. Alexis is the social media and digital marketing manager for Magnolia Bakery and JG Melon in New York City.

Natalie Quaranto is a budget and evaluation analyst and works on K-12 education budget/policy in the Georgia Senate. She earned a master's degree in public administration with a concentration in finance and management from the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State in December 2015. Natalie was a member of the Peace Corps in Paraguay before moving to Atlanta.

Erick Sheftic graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in 2015 and is a second year medical resident in psychiatry at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He and Ken Love were married in October 2015.

Danielle Greeting Volandt graduated from MUSC College of Medicine in May 2014. She is a pediatrics resident at UNC Chapel Hill.

Grace O'Toole Walz and her husband, Kyle, live in Seattle, Washington where she is a mental health therapist at the Seattle Children's Hospital. Grace earned a master's degree in social work from the University of Houston.

Johanna Zapf is a business development advisor for Hogan Lovells in Munich, Germany. Johanna was an exchange student at the College in 2008- 2009 and now is back home in Germany.


Erin Smith married Paul Ainsworth on August 24, 2013. They are living in Knoxville, Tenn.  where Erin is working for Restoration Services, Inc. in their water quality program.

Chelsey Baldwin is a third year medical resident at the University of Virginia and is planning to complete an endocrinology fellowship when her residency ends in 2017. She graduated from MUSC College of Medicine in May 2014.

Cory Barton earned a PhD in geophysical fluid dynamics and a master's degree in meteorology at Florida State University.  He is exploring post doctoral fellowships.

Anna Szymanowski graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine in 2015. She and her husband and daughter live in Virginia where she is an OB/GYN medical resident at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Brittany Bayley is a  graduate student in physics at Georgia Institute of Technology.

Jonathan Boggs earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in May 2016 and is a staff pharmacist at Rite Aid.  He and his wife, Taylor Bryce Boggs, live in Florence, SC.

Caroline Burns spent more than two years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Swaziland. She is now living in Columbia where she is enrolled in the International MBA program at the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina.

Holly Cian earned a master's degree in English literature from Western Carolina University in 2016.

Maggie Lyons and Dylan Cobb were married at Evergreen Lakehouse in Colorado on July 13, 2014.  Dylan is a geologist with QEP in Denver, and Maggie is a planner at Norris Design, a Denver-based landscape and urban design firm. Dylan earned a master's degree in 2012 from the Colorado School of Mines in geology, and Maggie earned a master's degree in urban and regional planning in 2015 at the University of Colorado, Denver.

Laura Cook earned a PhD in clinical psychology at the University of Southern Mississippi and was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Geisinger Health System in Pennsylvania. She is a pediatric psychologist in a pediatric integrated primary care practice in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania.

Cecilia Menniti Derry teaches first, second, and third grades at James Simons Elementary School in Charleston. She married Peter Derry on June 27, 2015.

Thomas Dunn is a senior IT project analyst with Nephron Pharmaceuticals in Columbia, SC. He earned a master's degree in health information technology from the University of South Carolina in 2016, and is also set to complete his master's in health administration in 2017.

Annie DuPre is director of employee volunteer engagement with United Way in Johannesburg, South Africa. She graduated with a master's degree in global policy studies from the University of Texas at Austin in 2015 and lives in Johannesburg.

Leigh Dekle and Peter DuPuis married on June 18, 2016 in New Orleans, LA. Leigh and Peter were teachers in New Orleans after completing their Teach For America commitments and now reside in Pittsburgh.

Danielle Ely graduated from George Mason School of Law in May 2016. She is  working in the legal department at the National Music Publishers' Association in Washington DC, where she helps represent songwriters and music publishing companies in the judicial system and before Congress and government agencies.

Alex Bahan Farish and Chris Farish live in Augusta, GA.  Alex graduated from MUSC College of Medicine in May 2014 and is a pediatrics resident at Georgia Regents College. She will begin a Pediatrics Emergency Medicine Fellowship when her residency ends in July 2017. Chris graduated from MUSC Dental School in May 2015 and is practicing dentistry at Edgefield Family Dentistry.

Lily Barkin  and Evan Fatula were married on June 12, 2015.  Lily is beginning her fourth year of medical school at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville and will complete her M.D. in 2017.

Erin Finn is completing a master's degree in applied linguistics at Old Dominion University in Norfolk this Fall.

Shaunie Tompkins married Paul Fritz  on August 9, 2015, in Annapolis, MD.  Shaunie is a pediatric nurse practitioner at Annapolis Pediatrics. She completed her degree at Johns Hopkins University.

Jamie Shafer married David Fronckowiak on June 11, 2016, at the B.R. Cohn Winery in Glen Ellen, California.  Jamie is vice president at Gerson Lehrman Group in Washington, DC.

Katherine Hoffman married William Gang on May 29, 2016. Katherine is the assistant principal of Success Academy - Springfield Gardens in New York. She taught seventh grade biology in Bridgeport, Connecticut for two years with Teach for America. She then moved to NYC and taught third through fifth grade science and sixth grade math in Harlem while earning her master's degree in education and special education from Touro College. Katherine and William live on Long Island.

Jeana Jade Gidron is a real estate consultant for Weichert, Realtors in McLean, VA.

Caroline Loy Guthrie and Angus Hager-Guthrie welcomed their daughter, Dottie, in March of 2015. Caroline completed her master's degree in media, culture and communication at New York University in 2012, and is pursuing her PhD at George Mason University. In addition to her dissertation work, Caroline teaches undergraduate courses with Mason's School of Integrative Studies.

Stephen Harden and Amber Reilly Harden announce the birth of their son, Benjamin William, on March 2, 2015.  Stephen is an anesthesiology resident at Yale University.

Eric Ketcham and Malia Brock Ketcham live in the metro area of Atlanta, Georgia where they work with a non-profit doing community development among international communities. Eric received a masters of divinity degree from Regent University in Virginia in 2014.  Malia also graduated from Regent University with a master's degree in human services counseling in 2011.

Hillary Beasley Kimsey is in her final year of graduate school for her master's of divinity degree at The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology. Hillary also works as mission coordinator for the YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap counties, in Washington state.

Rebecca Kyle is a social worker in the field of early childhood in Durham, NC where she conducts home visits with first time parents as part of a Healthy Families program. Prior to joining the Healthy Families team, Becky worked with the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants in a program serving unaccompanied minors. She earned her master's degree in social work from UNC-Chapel Hill.

Robbin Watson and Jeff Mangano got married on July 16, 2016 in Watch Hill, Rhode Island.

Farah Moustafa married Dr. Omar Badri November 27, 2015 in Boston, Massachusetts. Farah earned an M.D. at Wake Forest School of Medicine in 2015. She completed her intern year at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Internal Medicine, before starting at Brown, where she is  a dermatology resident.

Jonathan Napier is a third year psychiatry resident at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. He earned an M.D. from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill School of Medicine in 2014. Jon married Katie Branch in Chapel Hill on August 27, 2016.

Sam Theall married Justin Schoenfelder in Grand Rapids, Michigan on May 13, 2016. She is studying engineering (paper and printing science) at Western Michigan University and is an intern with GPI (Graphic Packaging International).

Ben Silverstein and Jeff Mangano are producers of  the blog/ podcast "Daily Fantasy Guys" that is dedicated to fantasy football, and provides daily updates about NFL player news as well as suggestions for fantasy football players.

Evie Smith and Banks Smither (MA '12) were married on  April 8, 2016. Evie is a third year internal medicine resident at Montefiore Medical Center (Albert Einstein) in NYC.  She graduated from MUSC College of Medicine in May 2014.  Banks graduated from CofC with undergraduate and graduate degrees in English and is now a book editor in NYC.

Tracy Tholanikunnel earned an M.D. at the Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine in May 2016, and is a resident physician in neurology at the Medical College of Wisconsin  in Milwaukee.

Aaron Tripp and Kathryn Phillips Tripp live in Irmo, SC and have two children: a son, Connor, and a daughter, Emma.   Aaron graduated from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and is family minister at New Heights Church in Columbia, SC.

Kayla Glasscock married John Abernethy on October 17, 2015 in Columbia, SC.  Kayla is a consultant service desk analyst for Hospital Corporation of America.  She and John live in Salt Lake City, Utah.

John Capelle earned an M.D. from the Medical University of South Carolina in May 2016. John is a first year orthopaedic surgery resident at Saint Louis University in Saint Louis, Missouri.

Kelly Ciociola (MS) is senior conservator for Rosa Lowinger and Associates in Miami, FL, where she evaluates sculptures for structural integrity and conserves pieces from erosion from the elements.

Candice Coulter is a child and adolescent therapist at Behavioral Health-Charlotte. She has also opened High Maintenance Boutique, a fashion-forward and affordable women's clothing  and accessories store in Charlotte, NC.

Shea Diaz is beginning her third year of law school at Georgetown University. She spent the summer working with the Southern Environmental Law Center in Chapel Hill, NC and plans to pursue a career in environmental justice following graduation from law school in 2017.

Sara Sprehn Diaz is a second year medical student at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.  Sara was a Fulbright Scholar in Leon, Mexico and earned a master's degree in nutrition at Universidad del Valle de Atemajac. Sara and her husband, Jose, live in Chicago, Illinois.

Lauren Moore Evans and her husband, Stephen, welcomed a daughter, Agnes Prairie Evans, in Iowa City, Iowa on June 1, 2016. Lauren earned an MFA at the University of Maryland, College Park and was awarded the prestigious International Sculpture Center's Outstanding Student Achievement in Contemporary Sculpture Award. Lauren is the Visual Arts Coordinator for Project Art at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Maeve McKenna married Matthew Gallivan on August 13, 2016. Maeve works on the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Budget as the digital director. She earned her MPS at Georgetown University in May.

Rainey Patterson and Austin Garland were married May 21, 2016 in Fort Mill, SC. Rainey earned a PhD in analytical chemistry from the University of Florida in 2016 and  is an analytical chemist at Eastman Chemical Company in Kingsport, Tennessee. Austin is a Captain in the SC Army National Guard.

Robert Heard is a business development executive at Explorica, a company that helps create educational tours across the globe.  Robert lives in Boston.

Alex Hennessey earned an M.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in 2016 and served as the student speaker at the commencement. Alex is pursuing a residency in urology at the University of Connecticut.

Lily Hunt earned her MA at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh, Scotland and returned to Charleston, SC to work for a local arts non-profit for two years before heading back abroad. She is now teaching English in Guangzhou, China

Melissa Huber married John L'Hereux in Charleston, SC on July 29, 2016. Melissa is a PhD candidate in classical studies at Duke University.

Hannah Brewer Lynch and her husband, Jimmy, are delighted to announce the birth of their second daughter.  Adaline Rose Lynch, born in Charleston on January 14, 2016 . Their first daughter, Emma Kathryn Lynch, was born on May 5, 2014 in Bremerton, Washington. Hannah and her family now live in Charleston.

Andrea DeSantis Nelson is currently enrolled in a PhD program -  Educational Leadership, Policy, and Human Development, at NC State University. She earned a master's degree in educational studies from the University of Cincinnati in August 2016. Andrea married Nicholas Nelson in Newport, KY in September 2015 and they  reside in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Caroline Rieger is an otolaryngology resident at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. She earned an M.D. at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in May 2015

Stacey Sangtian earned a master's degree in speech pathology from the Department of Communication Disorders at the University of South Carolina in 2016. She received the 2016 Outstanding MSP Student Award and also received a national award from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA). Prior to attending USC, Stacey served as a Dominican volunteer in New Orleans, LA and an NIH Postbac IRTA at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences in Research Triangle Park, NC.

Deanna Trimmer is a global quality manager at Benefitfocus in Charleston.

Alex Verderber is a biomedical engineer with experience in research, teaching, and project management. He earned a graduate degree in biomedical engineering at UNC-NCSU in 2015 and is co-founder of Contour Surgical, Inc., a company developing a novel surgical tissue retractor for cardiothoracic procedures. Alex is also an engineer with Intuitive Surgical.

Claire Voegele is a dual degree student (Juris Doctor and International MBA) at the University of South Carolina School of Law where she is the associate editor in chief of the South Carolina Law Review. Claire worked as a public interest fellow at Yale Law School's Veterans Clinic and has also served as a summer associate with Nelson Mullins' Boston office. Her article "Never Again": Correcting the Administrative Abandonment of Vietnam Veterans with Other Than Honorable Discharges Induced by Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder" was published in the Summer 2016 issue of the South Carolina Law Review.

Maggie Bacon married Cory Figueroa on May 14, 2016. Maggie is a human resources business partner at SPARC, an agile systems delivery hub of Booz Allen Hamilton.

Courtney Gerstenmaier (MS '15) was a Knauss Fellow in 2015-2016 and worked with the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History in Washington, DC. Courtney is currently an education interpreter at the S.C. Aquarium.

Lauren Ghelardini earned a master's degree in public health from the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in NYC in 2015. She is working with Stephens Inc. in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Shateara Hall earned a master's degree in public policy from Vanderbilt University in 2015. She lives in Boston where she is an equity research assistant for Leerink, a healthcare investment firm.

Justin Hendrix is pursuing a master's degree in divinity at Beeson Divinity School at Samford University in Alabama and is also teaching piano and violin. Justin was a Rotary Fellow at the University of Sussex in England and earned a master's degree in anthropology. He also continues working with Livada Orphan Care in Romania.

Emily Hoeksema earned her doctor of pharmacy from the Medical University of South Carolina in May, and now works at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC as a staff pharmacist.

Caroline Horres earned an MA in international studies from the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins University in 2014. She was previously a research analyst with the Senate Armed Services Committee and now works at the U.S. Treasury Department Office of Intelligence and Analysis.

Ross Kressel earned his MBA from the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh, completing his coursework at the end of July 2016.  

Shaun Lally is the creator of Radtab, an app that automates payment of your tab at bars and restaurants.Think of Radtab as Uber at the bar. When using Radtab, you no longer have to wait to open or close your tab. The app will launch in Charleston in October.

Betsy Rickett Martin graduated from the MUSC Physician Assistant program in August 2015 and  is a physicians assistant in Walterboro, SC. Betsy married Daniel Martin on October 16, 2015.

Rachel Morra is a graduate student at Stanford University. She is studying civil engineering - sustainable design and construction with a focus on energy and plans to complete the master's degree in spring of 2017

Caroline Newman is a fourth year medical student at UNC School of Medicine and plans to pursue a pediatrics residency after she completes her M.D. in 2017.

Vinny Palmieri is a fourth year medical student at the Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine and will complete his M.D. in May 2017. Vinny is contemplating a pediatrics residency and a cardiology fellowship following graduation from medical school.

Sarah-Kate Magee Pease is pursuing a master's degree in public administration with a concentration in non-profit management at UNC Charlotte. Sarah-Kate and her husband, Joe, live in Charlotte, NC where Sarah-Kate is the patron engagement manager with the Charlotte Ballet.

Guilherme Porto earned an M.D. from the Medical University of South Carolina May 2016. He is a first year neurosurgery resident at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Bobby Raidt and Emma Newberry were married June 27, 2015 in Charleston. Bobby is a fourth year medical student at the Medical University of South Carolina and will finish his M.D. in 2017.  Emma graduated from the MUSC physician assistant program in August.

Kimberly Renton earned her MEd in early childhood education in June 2016 at DePaul University and now works at Tutoring Chicago, a program that provides free weekly tutoring to 500 students in the Chicago area.

Hampton Rosenzweig is director of sales and marketing for Southern Trapper, an emerging leather company and lifestyle brand based out of Charleston.

Colleen Sheridan earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. She is completing an internship at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in Knoxville.

Brooke Sensenig Winn is an associate director of annual giving and alumni engagement at Hood College in Maryland. Brooke is working on her MBA in marketing and public administration, and expects to graduate in May 2018.



Lauren Bell has spent three years teaching at public elementary schools in rural South Korea. She has moved to the UK to earn her master's in Egyptology from the University of Birmingham. She intends to remain in the UK.

Erin McPherson married Thomas Bisca on May 7, 2016 in Mount Pleasant.  Erin is an intern at Dorchester Children's Center and is a graduate student at The Citadel where she is pursuing a master's degree in clinical counseling. She plans to graduate in May 2017.

Jessica Cantrell earned a master's degree in women's and gender studies at Rutgers University and is teaching literacy classes with students in special education in Philadelphia.

Olivia Cifaldi teaches English language arts at UP Academy Dorchester in Boston, Massachusetts.  She completed a teaching residency program through Match Charter Schools in Boston and this is her third year teaching at UP Academy Dorchester.

Chris Cimorelli works as a copywriter for Agora, a large, independent financial media organization based out of Baltimore, writing ads and promotional sales letters.  Chris lives in Delray Beach, FL. 

Seth Clare graduated from the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University in 2016. He worked as an international monetary and financial policy intern with the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Prior to this, Seth held an Israel Government Fellowship with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel. Seth is a commodity associate with S&P Global Platts in Houston, Texas.  

Will Crowell has joined Colliers International as a brokerage associate in Charleston, and will focus on the representation of tenants throughout the Charleston market.

Ben Hockett completed his Teach For America commitment in Charlotte, NC where he taught seventh grade language arts and was the department chair at his school. He currently resides in New York City where he works for Uncommon Schools, a charter management organization with 44 schools in six regions. He works on the Real Estate & Facilities Team, helping secure new school buildings, renovate existing facilities, and provide ongoing facility maintenance to Uncommon's portfolio of high-performing schools.

Anthony Horton and Rachel Davis Horton live in Greenville, SC where Anthony is beginning his fourth year of medical school  at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville and  Rachel is a school teacher.

Morgan Mikolajczyk Insley graduated with a Juris Doctor from the Charlotte School of Law in May 2016.

Liana McNallan earned a Masters of Social Work from the University of Washington (in Seattle) in 2016.  She continues to live in Seattle and works for Children's Administration.

Elizabeth McWhinnie is currently a graduate student in the dual degree MA program, International Affairs: Natural Resources and Sustainable Development at American University in Washington DC and the United Nations mandated University for Peace in Costa Rica. This summer she interned with Coral Restoration Foundation Bonaire to restore coral reefs in the Caribbean as well as with Buddy Dive Resort as a dive staff intern, she also completed her PADI dive master and PADI dive instructor certification and looks forward to continuing her dive education in the future.

Barbie Kolar Schreiner (MPA) and her husband, Brian, announce the birth of their daughter, Bellamy Rose, on October 3, 2016.  Barbie is the assistant director of corporate and foundation relations for the College.

Georgia Schrubbe recently opened Holy City Salsa Dance Studio in Charleston. The studio offers salsa and Latin dance lessons for all levels, performance opportunities, events, fitness classes, and choreography for wedding first dances and other special occasions.

Peter Sennekamp (MBA) is assistant to the CFO at Uniper, one of Europe's leading energy companies. Sennekamp also is employed by E.On, a European holding company that runs one of the world's largest investor-owned electric utility service providers.

Leanne Toumayan is a concierge for the Belmond Charleston Place.

Dyanne Vaught has started her Ph.D. program in economics at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Dyanne received a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship to support her and her studies.

Morgan Wetherington is a founder and vice president of sales and marketing for Spirits of Tennessee, a spirits company with brands including Jackson Morgan Southern Cream, an inventive craft Tennessee whiskey cream based out of Fayetteville, TN. They specialize in Southern flavors such as salted caramel, banana pudding, whipped orange and peppermint mocha.

Sarah Stertz married Noah Winecoff at St. Luke's Chapel in Charleston, SC on September 10, 2016.

Liza Wood received a Fulbright Scholarship in 2013-14 to earn an MSc in sustainability science and policy in Maastricht, the Netherlands, and worked with an international development NGO on agricultural adaptation to climate change. The following year she earned an MSc in Organic Farming from Newcastle, England through a Rotary Global Grant Scholarship, where she focused on sustainable intensification of cereal crops in Greece. She now works with the First Year Experience Office at CofC, coordinating freshmen students and engaging in sustainability initiatives on campus. Additionally, she is leading a First-Year Abroad course during Spring 2017, teaching about Sustainable Food and Development and leading students to the Andes of Peru over Spring Break.

Morgan Zipperly is pursuing an MD/PhD in the Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP) at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She completed the first two years of medical school and is now beginning the first year of a PhD in cell, molecular, and developmental biology.




John Brooker is the program coordinator for the Medical University of South Carolina's sustainability and recycling department.

Annemarie Galasso graduated from the U.S. Air Force Officer Training School during the summer of 2016. She is a second year medical student at Georgetown University School of Medicine.

Annie Galizio is working towards a Ph.D. in behavior analysis at Utah State University, and expects to graduate in 2019.

Rebekah Dunlap Hart has her own online shop on called SweetHartMonograms where she specializes in personalized embroidered gifts, baby items, towels, vinyl decals, mugs and more.

Molly Hatch works for a M&A consulting group at PricewaterhouseCoopers in NYC. Molly conducts commerical due diligences for private equity and corporate clients, in addition to handling team ops strategy. She completed a master's degree in international employment relations from the management department at the London School of Economics and Political Science in 2015.

Elisabeth Kilroy is a Ph.D. student at the graduate school of biomedical science and engineering at the University of Maine, where her goal is to continue advancing the road to a cure for muscular dystrophy by researching the unknown factors of the disease.

Julie Lench is a first year medical student in the Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine.

Gretchen Lidicker earned a master's degree in physiology and biophysics (complementary and alternative medicine) at Georgetown University in 2016.

Lucia Mangione is working as a merchandising manager at Lidl, a large European grocery retailer expanding to the US. Lucia spent the past 18 months in Germany, where she learned to speak German fluently and trained and worked as a sales operations manager in the Baden-Württemberg region. Returning to the US, she manages the store layout and product merchandising for the upcoming opening, and is based out of Arlington, Virginia.

Mike Palmer is a brokerage associate with Colliers International in Charleston.

Tyler Person is owner and operator of graphic design business, PHrontline Design, a freelance graphic design business that develops products according to client's specific needs.

Chandler Miler married Eric Scott Rackley in August. Chandler is completing her master's degree in public health at the Medical University of South Carolina and plans to graduate in December of 2017.

Bri Sanders is a field organizer with the National LGBTQ Task Force in Washington, DC.

Mimi Striplin is founder of The Tiny Tassel, a collection of handmade tassel jewelry and accessories. Based in Charleston, her pieces are sold in boutiques in Charleston, SC;  Laredo, Texas, and across the Carolinas.

Rebecca Szer earned a master's degree in health advocacy from Sarah Lawrence College in 2016. She is pursuing a doctorate in osteopathic medicine at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dave Welborn and Kathy Seay Welborn (MPA '16) have moved to Pensacola, FL.  Dave is a public health associate with the Centers for Disease Control in Escambia County and Kathy is a contract manager for Escambia County Healthy Start Coalition.

Charlotte Westcob earned a master's degree in  health administration at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2016.

Rachele Palmieri married Jonathan Wilen in Pittsburgh, Penn., on May 29, 2016.  They live in New York City where she is a senior analyst at Willis Towers Watson.

Emily Claire Mecredy Wise and John Caleb Wise live in Pittsboro. NC.  Emily is an English teacher at Chatham Charter School in Siler City, NC. She earned a master's degree in teaching from Duke in 2016 and a master's degree in literary studies from University of Amsterdam in 2015.

Caley Doud and Scott Ziegler, high school sweethearts, got married on April 15, 2016. Caley graduated with a master's degree in education from the University of Cincinnati. She is a lead therapist at Carolina Coast Behavioral Services in Charleston and will sit for her board examination this year. She is also pursuing a Board Certified Behavior Analyst certificate.

Leigh Chikos and Nic Allen were married May 28, 2016 in Bayard, Nebraska. Nic is a second year dental student at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Florida and Leigh works in customer service and shipping logistics.

Christopher T. Bass is an analyst in Landmark Partner's quantitative research group. Prior to joining Landmark Partners, Christopher worked as an intern at Sequence Financial Specialists as a summer analyst at Jeffries, LLC.

Ginger Bauer is the guest service agent for Hyatt House/Hyatt Place in Charleston's Historic District.

Joshua Bloodworth (MPA) is assistant director for administrative assessment and accreditation for the College.

Allyson Hill completed a master's degree in clinical research at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2016 and is beginning her first year of medical school in the MUSC College of Medicine.

Allene Hope graduated with a master's degree in bioarchaeology from the University of York in the United Kingdom in August 2016. She will be teaching English in Prague.

Aubrey Butcher married Jared Smith on July 3, 2016.

Kathleen Tuttle is an associate instructor in the Department of Classical Studies at Indiana University   and is working on her PhD in classics and classical languages, literature and linguistics.

Niki Bedenbaugh works at The Citadel Brigadier Foundation as the development and operations coordinator.

Kelsey Booth (MAT) put her graduate studies on hold to play basketball for CEEB Tordera, a team in Barcelona, Spain. She will play shooting guard for the team, a change-up from her center role for the Cougars.

Michael Del Vecchio (MS) joined Francis Marion University as an instructor of mathematics.

Grace Gardner is a first year student in the occupational therapy program at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Olivia Ghiz is serving as a site director for the College's iCharleston program in London for fall of 2016.

Taylor Klimek is a district account manager for Automatic Data Processing (ADP), which serves small business clients by helping them find and develop efficiencies in their payroll and HR process.

Ben Korren has been named assistant director of basketball operations at the College. Ben, a former four-year student manager for the program, will oversee student managers, assist with scouting reports and film prepartation, create recruiting and motivational videos and assist with scheduling.

Jackie Luna-Castro is taking her basketball talents to Kouvala, Finland to play for Kouvottaret, as center. During the summer, Jackie played in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico for Soles de Ojinaga Femenil, going undefeated in the regular season.

Claire Newman is a graduate student at the University of Virginia where she is pursuing a master's degree in exercise physiology.

Tyler Perini received a President's Fellowship to pursue a PhD in Georgia Institute of Technology's program for operations research.

Chris Robinson is a personal trainer and lifestyle coach at Pursuit Fitness in Mount Pleasant, SC.  Chris has owned the company since 2009 and offers private and group training with discounts for CofC students and alumni.

Charlotte Saxe was recently selected by Citizens Bank for its commercial banker Early Career Development Program. The highly competitive program is a full-time, year-long training program for recent college graduates that involves both intensive classroom instruction and credit analysis writing.
