Student Alumni Associates (SAA) Scholarship

For student leaders on campus

SAA and leadership go hand in hand. SAA began fundraising for the SAA Leadership Scholarship through an annual mud volleyball tournament, Oozeball. While the tournament started out as a small venture, it quickly grew into a double elimination tournament hosting 96 teams. When the Oozeball tournament was discontinued in 2008, SAA members continued to fundraise for the scholarship and eventually finished raising the funds to officially endow it.

The Student  Alumni Associates Leadership Scholarship is open to all rising sophmores, juniors and seniors.  Its purpose is to recognize leadership and service among College of Charleston students.

  • The student must be a full-time rising Sophomore, Junior or Senior at CofC and must exhibit campus leadership and participate in a minimum of two College of Charleston organizations.

  • Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need according to FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).
