Stanley Davis has been named the new Jail Administrator of the Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Center in North Charleston, SC. Mr. Davis earned his MA in criminal justice from the University of South Carolina. He resides in Moncks Corner, SC.

Tony Lessington is a Technical Engineer at CACI International in North Charleston, SC. Mr. Lessington and his wife, Deborah, married in January. The couple resides in Moncks Corner, SC.

1993

Suzanne Lowry is a self-employed Volleyball Referee. She recently served as the First Referee for the NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Championship match between Penn State and Louisville in December. In 2023, Ms. Lowry served as First Referee for Volleyball Day in Nebraska when 92,003 fans attended the Nebraska vs. Omaha match, which broke the world record for attendance at a women’s sporting event. Ms. Lowry earned her MBA in marketing and finance from the University of South Carolina in 2000. She and her husband, Keith Murlless, reside in Lyman, SC, and are spirited supporters of the Charleston Athletic Fund.

Kimbi Marenakos is a National Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Behavioral Health Specialist licensed in South Carolina, Minnesota, Connecticut, and Colorado. She started The Wellness Loft, a holistic health and wellness practice located on James Island, in 2022. Dr. Marenakos earned her DNP from the Medical University of South Carolina. She resides in Charleston, SC, with her son.

Amanda Bunting Comen‘s business, Social ABCs, was recognized as a top three finalist for Best Public Relations Firm in Charleston Regional Business Journal‘s annual Reader Rankings for the second consecutive year. The firm was also named a Shining Social Media Professional Finalist by Charleston Women Magazine‘s inaugural She Shines Awards. Ms. Comen and her husband, Kyle Comen ’02 (MA ’10), reside in Charleston, SC, with their son, Harrison. The couple recently made a gift to the Charleston Athletic Fund.

Brandon Hair has been named the Vice President of Operations at Retirement Living Associates, Inc., where he leads a team of executive directors of senior living communities in North Carolina and Florida. Charles Odom is an Enforcement Project and Environmental Health Manager for the South Carolina Department of Environmental Services. He earned his MPA from Walden University in 2023 and a graduate certificate in herbal medicine from the American College of Healthcare Sciences in 2024. Mr. Odom resides in Columbia, SC.

Chris Rivers is a Dentist at Rivers + West Family Dentistry. Dr. Rivers earned his DMD from the Medical University of South Carolina. He resides in Mount Pleasant, SC, with his wife and three children.

Meghan Brinson is a full-time Lecturer of Law at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Ms. Brinson earned an MFA in creative writing from Arizona State University in 2008; an MA in English studies from Georgetown University in 2013; and her JD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2022. Jenn Marble Mais and her husband, Brandt, welcomed a son to the family in December 2023. The couple resides in Fenwick Island, DE, with their daughter, Hazel, and son, August.

Jake Winquist was promoted to Principal, Strategy & Management Consulting, at RSM US LLP in January. Mr. Winquist also teaches as an Adjunct Professor in the University of San Diego School of Business. He earned his MBA in organizational leadership from Boston University in 2017. Mr. Winquist and his wife, Grace, reside in Poway, CA.

Caroline Eubanks’ second book, A Boozy History of Atlanta: People, Places & Drinks that Made a City, will be released in spring 2025 by Charleston-based Arcadia Publishing. Ms. Eubanks resides in Marietta, GA.

Maggie Hendricks is the Director of Advancement for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southern Maine. She acquired a professional certificate in fundraising leadership from Indiana University. Ms. Hendricks resides in South Portland, ME, and recently made a generous gift to CofC’s Arts Management Fund.

Catherine Gryniewski Woods and James Woods ’12 celebrated the birth of their daughter, Lottie, in December. The family of three resides in North Charleston, SC.

Steven Holshouser is the Vice President of Business Development, North America, for Proteros. Dr. Holshouser earned his PhD in drug discovery from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2018. Eric LaFontaine is the Communications Manager for the Town of Mount Pleasant, SC. Mr. LaFontaine was presented with the Longevity Award by town officials in January to celebrate his five years of service.

Naomi Edmondson was promoted to Senior Grant Writer at Elevate in January. Ms. Edmondson earned her MA in art history from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2020 and her certification in nonprofit management from Temple University in 2024. Ms. Edmondson resides in Morehead City, NC.

Hayley Barton Farrago married Luke Farrago in October in Boothbay Harbor, ME. Ms. Farrago is the Director of Marketing and Communications for the Farnsworth Art Museum. The couple resides in Rockland, ME.
