June 2022

1980

Bruce Powell retired from the SC State Ports Authority in 2017 as the Operations Supervisor. He and his wife, Sandra Holmes Powell, reside in Charleston, SC. Mr. Powell recently donated to the CofC Fund by sponsoring a graduate’s chair at Commencement in May through the “Share Your Chair” program.

1988

Jeff Nickles is the founder of Production Design Associates (PDA) and is married to Shannon Timmons Nickles ’91. From its founding in 1991, PDA had the privilege of working with a wide variety of clients, such as three US Presidents, CNN, FOX, the G7 Summit, Boeing, Spoleto, NASA, Rolls Royce, and hundreds of galas and weddings, not to mention CofC’s Commencements, the Alumni Awards Gala, and A Charleston Affair each year. The Nickles are proud parents of Alanna and Alyssa, and reside in Charleston. PDA is a Platinum Sponsor of the Alumni Association.

1990

Jamie Moon is the President and CEO of the Institute for Child Success. Mr. Moon earned his MA in international affairs from American University in 1994. He resides in Greenville, SC, with his wife, Sommer, and his two sons, James and David. Mr. Moon is a new member of the CofC Alumni Association Board of Directors. He is a generous and consistent supporter of our alma mater, donating annually to the CofC Fund, the Alumni Association, and the Political Science Fund.

1991

Jennifer Madison Dixon is a Realtor for Blanchard and Calhoun Real Estate Co. Ms. Dixon she was recognized as the team’s Rookie of the Year in 2019 and was awarded into the Chairman’s Circle in 2021. She has two daughters and resides in North Augusta, SC, with her husband, LTC Robert A. Dixon, Jr., RET. Ms. Dixon is a stalwart supporter of the College, donating most recently to the CofC Fund, the Alumni Fund, and the Psychology Department Fund.

Paige Heath is the Multilingual Learner Program Specialist for the School District of Pickens County. Ms. Heath resides in Easley, SC, with her daughter, Clara.

1992

Colleen Condon is the 2022 recipient of the CofC Honors College Distinguished Alumni Award. Ms. Condon is a Managing Partner and Family Court Attorney for Condon Family Law & Mediation. She earned her law degree at the University of North Carolina School of Law, Chapel Hill, in 2002 and became certified as a Family Court mediator in 2007. Ms. Condon has been recognized for her contributions to the community by Forty under 40 and various other groups. She resides in Charleston, SC, with her wife, Nichols, and she has one child.

Trey Harvin is a Partner and the Chief Operating Officer of Quantum Technology Solutions Limited based in London. Mr. Harvin earned his MBA in 1999 from Georgetown University. He resides in Roswell, GA, with his wife, Michelle, and their four children, Harry, Chappell, Milly, and Maddux. Mr. Harvin is a new member of the CofC Alumni Affairs Board of Directors. Mr. Harvin donates annually to a wide variety of CofC programs and scholarships, including the Greek Leadership Fund, the CofC Fund, and the Athletic Fund.

1996

Nicole Heiden Sodoma is the Founder and Managing Principal of Sodoma Law based in Rock Hill, SC. Ms. Sodoma is a graduate of Cumberland School of Law at Samford University and is a Certified Parenting Coordinator, Certified Collaborative Law Attorney, and All-American Speaker. She released a book titled Please Don’t Say You’re Sorry: An Empowering Perspective on Marriage, Separation, and Divorce from a Marriage-Loving Divorce Attorney on May 24. It is available on Amazon and at national and local bookstores.

1997

Lisa Ellis is the Director of Student Activities at Blythewood High School in South Carolina. Ms. Ellis earned her MS in forest resources management from Clemson University in 2001 and her MA in organizational leadership from Columbia College in 2018. She is a founding member of SC for Ed and is active in the Junior League of Columbia. Ms. Ellis resides in Columbia, SC.

1998

Berri Heinz is the Director of Supply Chain Procurement and Supplier Diversity for Prisma Health in Simpsonville, SC. Ms. Heinz helped bring the Boeing Dreamlifter to Greenville with the first large shipment of PPE for their 14 hospitals during the COVID-19 pandemic. She was awarded the Prisma Health Top Talent Leadership Inaugural Program, Transform. Ms. Heinz was named in Talk Magazine’s 26 Most Beautiful Women in 2015 and Greenville’s Best & Brightest 35 & Under in 2012.

1999

Lee Kenny Wotherspoon is the Quality Improvement Coordinator at the Community Health Center of Cape Cod located. Ms. Wotherspoon is the Owner of Quiet Mind Studio and a Managing Partner of Creekside, LLC. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Wellfleet Preservation Hall. Ms. Wotherspoon earned her MPH in social and behavioral science from Boston University in 2004. She resides in Wellfleet, MA, with her husband, Darren, and their two children, Caledonia and Kaden.

2001

Beau Evans has been appointed as U.S. Market Lead for Currant Health, an organization that improves patient lives through proprietary Medication Care Management products. Mr. Evans earned his MBA from the University of South Carolina in 2010 and later earned a Master of Science in project management from The Citadel in 2013. He resides in Mount Pleasant, SC, with his wife, Kathryn, and their two children, Gray and Caroline.

2002

Amity Sullivan Edmonds is a Partner at Gallivan White Boyd 2019 and selected to Super Lawyers Rising Stars, 2019-2022. In 2021, Ms. Edmonds was recognized in The Best Lawyers in America. She resides in Greenville, SC, with her husband, Ryan, and her daughter, Griffen Mills.

Amy Chornyak Strunk is the Owner and Landscape Designer for Amy Strunk Designs. Ms. Strunk won Best Landscaper in Chapel Hill in both 2021 and 2022. She resides in Chapel Hill, NC, and has two children, Graham and Finley.

2004

Dave Trausneck recently started a new role as Head of Communications for RK&K, a 99-year-old civil engineering firm in Baltimore. He is a generous annual supporter of scholarships and programs at our alma mater, giving to the CofC Fund, the Communication Department Fund, the Alumni Fund, and the Student Emergency Fund.

2005

Edward Baldwin is the Vice President of Joe Smith Brand Consultancy based in Richmond, VA. Mr. Baldwin and his wife, Arielle Goldman ’05, have two sons, Edward “Teddy” Benjamin Baldwin, III and West Goldman Baldwin.

Daniel East, of Greensboro, NC, is the Co-Founder and Director of Training and Technical Operations for Indigenized Energy Initiative. Additionally, Mr. East is working with the DreamingStone Arts and Ecology Center where he is experimenting with community development at various levels through focusing on food systems and waste cycles.

Heidi Nielsen is Vice President of Investments and Asset Management for Meyer Jabara Hotels based in Danbury, CT. Ms. Nielsen resides in Summerville, SC, with her daughter, Brooke, and she donates annually to the College, giving most recently to the Greek Leadership Fund, the CofC Fund, and the Hospitality Management Program Fund.

Logan Gibson married Tom Yenkner in May 2021. Ms. Gibson is a Registered Nurse at MUSC and the couple resides in Charleston, SC.

2006

Ashley Bowman is a Research Assistant at MUSC, where she will graduate from in December with her MS in healthcare informatics. Ms. Bowman earned her MPA from The Ohio State University in 2015. She resides in Mount Pleasant, SC.

2007

Caitlin Norfleet is the Director of Special Projects for the Center on Global Energy Policy and resides in New York City.

2008

Carolyn Lamparelli Hall started a position as Assistant Professor of Pharmacy at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) in Boston, MA. Dr. Hall earned her PharmD from MCPHS University in 2012. She and her husband, Brendan, reside in Framingham, MA, with their two daughters, Paige and Rose.

Elizabeth Gouldon is the Owner and Photographer of Sean Money + Elizabeth Fay. She married Sean Money in July 2019 and the couple resides in Charleston, SC.

2009

Nicole Kelley is the Business Operations Manager for the Davis Family Charitable Foundation and resides in Salem, MA.

2010

Craig Schultz recently transitioned from Active-Duty Army flying the HH-60 Black Hawk to Endeavor Air as a CRJ-900 First Officer. He and his wife, Paige Daugherty, reside in Linden, NC, with their two sons, Luke and Colin. Mr. Schultz supports scholarships at the College through his generous donations to the Alumni Fund.

2011

Hannah Brewer Lynch is a Zoning Administrator for Polk County Government in Columbus, NC. Ms. Lynch and her husband, James, welcomed their third daughter, Charleigh Bette Lynch, in June 2021. Charleigh joins older sisters Emma and Adaline.

Amber Onufer is an Applications Specialist: Geophysicist for Geophysical Survey Systems, Inc., and resides in Summerville, SC. She recently donated to the CofC Fund by sponsoring a graduate’s chair at Commencement in May through the “Share Your Chair” program and also made a gift to the Matt Christie BEAMS Fund.

Spencer Todd is a Clinical Project Manager for Align Technology, Inc. Dr. Todd earned his PhD in toxicology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2018. He married his wife, Tara, in July 2020 and the couple resides in Folly Beach, SC.

2012

Caitlin Young Austin and Andrew Austin ’16 recently relocated from Columbia, SC, back to Charleston, SC. Dr. Austin is an Occupational Therapist working for Charleston OT treating both pediatric and adult clients. Mr. Austin is a Sales Representative with Crosslink/Stryker Orthopedics. They supported the Greek Leadership Fund and the Alumni Fund with generous gifts this year.

Lauren Fuess was awarded Gulf Research Program Early Career Fellowship in September 2021. Dr. Fuess is an Assistant Professor of Biology at Texas State University. She earned her PhD in quantitative biology from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2018. Dr. Fuess resides in Kyle, TX, with her husband, Kyle Ginn.

2014

Chelsea Bauer is a Senior Attorney at HLBS Law based in Westminster, CO. Ms. Bauer earned her JD from the Charlotte School of Law in 2017 and resides in Charlotte, NC. She most recently donated to the Women Leadership Initiatives Fund at the College.

Cori Lehrman is the Senior Digital Marketing Manager for Garden & Gun magazine. Ms. Lehrman resides in Charleston, SC, with her husband, Bert Schewel ’14. She is a member of the Friends of the Library, supporting the College’s impressive Libraries System.

2015

Lindsay Merhege Leonardi is the Lead Event Designer and Planner at Fox Events, the official event planning company for A Charleston Affair. Ms. Leonardi’s work has been published in Brides, Martha Stewart Weddings, Southern Bride, Over the Moon, Carats & Cake, and more. She married Brian Leonardi in October 2021 and the couple resides in Raleigh, NC.

2017

Noel Anderson has joined Malk Partners in New York City as an Associate. Ms. Anderson is a generous donor to the CofC Fund, supporting scholarships at our alma mater.

Dale Ryan is a Manager at The Furniture Collection and she resides in Aiken, SC.

2018

Austin Anderson is the Founder and CEO of Daylyy, an authentic social media app where users share real-time pictures and videos like a social timeline of their daily life. He resides in Annapolis, MD.

John Graham graduated in May from the University of Florida Levin College of Law with his JD, magna cum laude. Mr. Graham will join the litigation team at the Charleston Nelson Mullins office as an Associate Attorney after passing the bar in July.

Sydney Jaicks has been promoted to Executive Assistant to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement at MUSC and resides in Charleston, SC.

Brianna Mawra resides in Charlotte, NC, and will be attending the University of Amsterdam in the fall to start working towards her master’s degree in urban and regional planning.

Sydney Sousa is studying live entertainment design at the University of Texas, Austin, with plans to graduate with her MFA in 2024.

2019

Ginny James is attending the University of Texas, Austin, studying chemistry with plans to graduate with her PhD in 2024.

Gabrielle Natali is a Manager, Media Relations, for Broadcast Music, Inc. in New York City.

Griffen Rose just graduated from the Boston College Law School and is sitting for the Massachusetts bar exam this summer. Mr. Rose will then work as an entry-level Associate Attorney at Lubin & Meyer PC. He resides in Boston.

Sophia Vinegar earned her MPH in environmental health and epidemiology from Boston University in 2021 and resides in North Hollywood, CA.

2020

Caroline Henderson married Reed Brown in November 2021. Ms. Henderson is studying social work at Winthrop University with plans to graduate with her MSW in 2024. The couple resides in Conway, SC.

Karen Bednarik Mulholland is a Paramedic/Quality Assurance Coordinator for Family Medical Transport. Ms. Mulholland graduated from the University of Florida College of Medicine with her MMS this year. She resides in Charleston, SC, with her husband, James, and has two daughters, Leila and Victoria.

Jackson Streiter is the Brand Coordinator for Spark Branding House and resides in Atlanta.

2021

Brooke Callery has turned a textile design internship with Sewing Down South into a contract job as designer/artist for the brand. With founder (and Southern Charm cast member) Craig Conover ’10, Ms. Callery helped bring his ideas to life from the company’s first holiday pillow line to collections with Thomasville Furniture, Home Goods, Beachly and a store on King Street.

Hannah Rawles relocated to Washington, D.C., in September and began working for Senator Marco Rubio as his Press Assistant in October.

2022

Ryan Thompson is the Democratic Nominee for South Carolina House of Representatives District 106 (Horry County. He will appear on the November election ballot. Mr. Thompson resides in Murrells Inlet, SC. He began donating to the College as a student, giving generously to the Student Emergency Fund, the Alumni Fund, the Political Science Program Fund, and the School of Humanities and Social Sciences Dean’s Excellence Fund.

Jada Young, of Columbia, SC, will be starting her first year of law school in the fall at the University of South Carolina.
