September 2020

1958

Sibby Craver Harvey and husband, Charles, are among the most generous donors to the College. Mrs. Harvey is a Trustee Emerita of the College, and was a member of the Foundation Board. Mrs. Harvey is also a Past President of the Alumni Association and past recipient of the Alumni Award of Honor. Mrs. Harvey retired as a Realtor with Seabrook Island Realty and is a past chair of the Charleston School of Law Foundation. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey live in Mount Pleasant, SC.

1977

Betsy Steffens Pilcher recently assumed a new position as Senior Associate Dean at the College of Dental Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Pilcher was the recipient of the 2018 MUSC Distinguished Faculty Service Award. She resides in Mount Pleasant, SC.

1979

Elizabeth Colbert-Busch is now the President-Elect of the Alumni Association Board of Directors. Ms. Colbert-Busch is the Managing Partner of Colbert Busch, LLC in Mount Pleasant, SC.

Kathy Crocker Williams has been elected to the CofC Foundation Board. Ms. Williams is the Senior VP and CFO of Framatome, Inc. and resides in Cornelius, NC.

1980

Amanda Welborn Dicken is a Fatigue Management Specialist for Sonic Systems International (GE Hitachi). Ms. Dicken resides in Greenville, SC.

1981

Peggy Gunter Boykin has been elected Chair of the CofC Foundation Board. Ms. Boykin is the Executive Director for the South Carolina Public Employee Benefits Authority and resides in Lexington, SC.

Suzi Cuomo Raiford is the Business and Industry Liaison for the South Carolina Department of Education. Ms. Raiford received the Professor Bauer Education Attainment Award and the Regional Career Specialist of the Year (2019). She lives in Charleston, SC, with her husband, Steve, and her daughter, Lindsay ’14.

1983

Rahul Mehra was elected to the Limestone University Board of Trustees in Gaffney, SC, and will serve a five-year term. Dr. Mehra is the CEO and Chief Physician Executive of the National Center for Performance Health in Tampa, FL.

Laurie Minges is a newly elected Vice-President of the Alumni Association Board of Directors. Ms. Minges is a Broker for Dunes Properies. She resides in Mount Pleasant, SC.

1984

Suzette Jeffries Timme (BPS ’20) has recently been elected Board Member of the Alumni Association Board of Directors. Ms. Timme is President and CEO of Indigo Asset Services in Arlington, VA.

1986

Mitsy Mangum has been elected as a new member of the CofC Foundation Board. Ms. Mangum is the Managing Director of Lakeview Capital Partners, LLC, and resides in Atlanta.

1987

Devon Wray Hanahan is a Vice President of the Alumni Association Board of Directors. Ms. Hanahan is a Spanish professor at the College, where she also serves as Faculty Marshal. She lives in Charleston, SC.

1990

Keith Sauls has been elected Treasurer for the CofC Foundation Board. Mr. Sauls is a Managing Partner for Exeter Acquisition Company, LLC and resides in Charleston, SC.

1992

John Rutenberg is a newly elected Board Member for the Alumni Association Board of Directors. Mr. Rutenberg is the Regional Vice President for TD Bank. He lives in Myrtle Beach, SC.

1993

Forest Mahan has been elected a Board Member of the Alumni Association Board of Directors. Dr. Mahan is the President of Aiken Technical College. He resides in Aiken, SC.

1994

Ceth Land has recently been elected a Board Member of the Alumni Association Board of Directors. Mr. Land is a Partner at the law firm, Land Parker Welch, LLC, in Manning, SC.

Jivko Moutafov is the Head Portfolio Manager for Developing World Markets based in San Francisco. Mr. Moutafov is also the Co-Founder and Co-Majority Owner of Developing World Markets Emerging Markets Public Equities Fund focused on sustainability and impact. Mr. Moutafov earned his International MBA from the University of South Carolina in 1996. In 1999, he became certified as a Chartered Financial Analyst. He and his wife, Galina, reside in San Francisco.

1995

Nancy Thompson Wellington is a Finance Manager for tax compliance and accounting for Coca-Cola. Ms. Wellington and her husband, Christopher, reside in Riverview, FL.

Neysa N. Williams a Camden, SC, native, serves on the Boards of Directors of both the Alumni Association and the Black Alumni Council and represented the College of Charleston at the Black Alumni Summit in February held at Florida State University. Ms. Williams retired from the U.S. Army in April 2018 after 22 years of service, achieving the rank of Major. She earned her MA in business administration and human resources from Webster University in 2007. Ms. Williams is the Community Engagement Director for Joint Base Charleston in North Charleston, SC.

1996

Lancie Affonso (MS ’08) has been elected to the Alumni Board. Mr. Affonso is currently a faculty member for the College’s Computer Science department and the Honors College.

1997

Kevin Price is a Technical Product Evangelist for Infor Global Solutions in New York City. Mr. Price earned his Master of Divinity from Erskine Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Valerie Harper Price ’97, reside in Fountain Inn, SC, with their two daughters.

Sean Waters is a Health Communication Specialist for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta.

1998

Randy Adkins (MS ’04) is a newly elected Vice President of the Alumni Association Board of Directors. Mr. Adkins is a Senior Consultant at Modus21, and resides in North Charleston, SC.

1999

Bryan Eastman has been elected a Board Member of the Alumni Association Board of Directors. Mr. Eastman is a founding partner and President of Stokesman Luxury Homes and resides in Atlanta, GA.

Letitia Haynes-Frasier is the Manager of Legal Operations and Employment Practice for Cox Media Group in Atlanta. Ms. Haynes-Frasier earned her MBA from Regis University in 2010. She resides in Powder Springs, GA.

Greg Lewis is a Senior Examiner for Cambridge Investment Research Inc., located in Norcross, GA. Mr. Lewis earned his MBA from the University of Phoenix in 2005. He and his wife, Nina, reside in Atlanta.

Kipp Snow is the Director of Transportation, Distribution, and Maritime Logistics for the Community College of Baltimore County. Mr. Snow earned his MBA (2004) and his graduate certificate in leadership and management (2012) from the University of Maryland. He and his wife, Christine, reside in Gambrills, MD.

Mike Stevens is a Professor of Internal Medicine and the Associate Division Chair, Infectious Diseases for the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Medicine. Dr. Stevens earned his MD (2004) and his MPH (2011) from VCU. He and his wife, Lillian Flores Stevens ’00, reside in Richmond, VA.

Derrick Williams is the newly elected President of the Alumni Association Board of Directors. Mr. Williams is a Partner in the law firm of Mickle & Bass, LLC, in Columbia, SC. Mr. Williams is also serving on the College of Charleston Foundation Board of Directors, and the Honors College Advisory Board.

2001

John Flack has been elected a Board Member of the Alumni Association Board of Directors. Mr. Flack is the CFO of Mills Automotive Group and resides in Charlotte, NC.

Keisha Boyd Hawes is the PreK Intervention Teacher at Meeting Street Academy in Charleston, SC. Ms. Hawes was the 2020 SCETV Women of Vision Honoree. She and her husband, Michael, live in Moncks Corner, SC, with their three children.

2002

Ashley Nance is a newly elected Board Member of the Alumni Association Board of Directors. Mr. Nance is an Attorney and shareholder in the law firm King, Love, Hupfer & Nance, LLC, in Florence, SC.

Ryan Eleuteri has been elected Board Member of the Alumni Association Board of Directors. Mr. Eleuteri is owner and president of Charleston Beverage Company. Additionally, he serves on the board for the CofC Athletic Fund.

2004

Alex Campbell is the Finance Director for Maersk – Sealand, based in Miami, FL. Mr. Campbell is celebrating 15 years with Maersk and 10 years with his wife, Meredith Roy Campbell ’06. The couple resides in Fort Lauderdale, FL, with their two sons.

Jocelyn Locascio is a Medical Aesthetician and Laser Expert at Infinity Med Spa and Wellness in Charlotte, NC. Ms. Locascio became a Licensed Esthetician in 2012. She and her husband, Andrew DeCristofaro, were married in 2017.

2006

Max Russell is a High School Principal at Ben Lippen School. Mr. Russell earned his MAT from Liberty University in 2012. He and his wife, Nichole, have three children, Bethany, Elijah, and Josiah, and reside in Columbia, SC.

Heather Klugh Salvaggio is a Supply Systems Strengthening Specialist for USAID based in Maputo, Mozambique. Ms. Salvaggio earned her MPH from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine in 2012. She resides in New Orleans, LA.

2007

Adam Carey purchased NLS Group on December 31, 2019. The company was founded in 1986 and is an industry leader in providing land consulting services and project staffing, as well as full-service site development in both rural and metropolitan areas for the renewable, utility, and pipeline industries operating in 11 states. Mr. Carey is the President of NLS Group and resides in Meredith, NH, with his wife, Claire, and their son, Caleb.

Sarah Exell is a newly elected member of the Alumni Board. Ms. Exell is a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch in Charleston, SC. She also serves on the Student Affairs Board of Advocates.

2008

Samuel Brown is the Lead Student Support Specialist for Communities in Schools of the Charleston Area in North Charleston, SC. Mr. Brown earned his MBA in leadership from Strayer University in 2014. He was selected as the 2017-2018 Region 8-4A Coach of the Year. Mr. Brown and his wife, Neshonda McLaurin Brown ’10, reside in Ladson, SC, with their daughter, Skylar.

Meghan Harding is an EHS Specialist for Aurora Flight Sciences in Bridgeport, WV. Ms. Harding earned her MS in safety management from West Virginia University in May. She resides in Morgantown, WV.

Michelle McGrew (MPA ’12) is the Executive Assistant to the President at the College and resides in Mount Pleasant, SC.

Brady Quirk-Garvan has been elected a Vice President of the Alumni Association Board of Directors. Mr. Quirk-Garvan is the Owner of Money with a Mission, in Charleston, SC.

2009

Anjuri Jain is a Senior Manager, Marketing Finance for Walmart, Inc., and resides in San Francisco.

Morgan Smoak is a Solutions Architect for Amino Health based in San Francisco. Ms. Smoak married Michael Naples in October 2019. The couple resides in Charleston, SC.

2010

Leigh Dekle is the Associate Director of Instructional Support for Instruction Partners in Washington, D.C. Ms. Dekle married Peter DuPuis ’10 in June 2016 in New Orleans. The couple resides in Washington, D.C.

Amelia Black is the Special Education Coordinator for Contoocook Valley School District in Peterborough, NH. Ms. Black married Hunter Joseph in February 2019. The couple recently welcomed their son, Ryan Joseph.

Avery Kepple is the Head of Business Operations for Qwil in San Francisco. Ms. Kepple earned her JD from Boston College Law School in 2013. She resides in Boston.

2011

Sean Bear is a Georgia Department of Health Epidemiologist working at the Coastal Health District in Savannah, GA. Mr. Bear resides in Statesboro, GA.

Mary Devine is the Vice President of Marketing for Advoco in Greenville, SC. In Ms. Devine’s time at Advoco, the company has won the #1 best place to work in SC for two years in a row. They have also been featured in Forbes as one of the top “Small Giants” in America.

2012

Pauly Appleton (MPA) is a Legal Associate with Stratton, Moran, Reichert, Scronce & Appleton in Springfield, IL. He earned his JD from the John Marshall Law School in December 2019. Mr. Appleton also works part-time as an assistant public defender for Sangamon County in Springfield, IL.

Morgan Best is a newly elected Board Member of the Alumni Association Board of Directors. Ms. Best is the Executive Recruiting Leader for DHG Search and resides in Charlotte, NC.

Aylett Clesi Mazzarell is a Principal Consultant, Geology for Environmental Resources Management. Ms. Mazzarell and her husband, Matthew Mazzarell ’13, reside in New Orleans.

Cara Musciano is starting her first year of Law School at the University of Georgia this fall. She resides in Athens, GA.

Bobby Pruett has worked at JP Morgan’s Private Bank for the past seven years and is currently on the Financial Institutions Group as an Investment Specialist. Mr. Pruett resides in Brooklyn, NY.

2013

Michelle Robles Little founded Women in Motion Physical Therapy and Wellness which specializes in prenatal and postnatal care. Ms. Little’s goal is to improve women’s health quality of care in her community and the nation through her educational courses. She and her husband, Robert Daniel Little, Jr. ’13, reside in Charlottesville, VA.

Amanda Martin purchased a business called Manna Supply, Inc. with her sister in June 2019. Ms. Martin operates Manna Supply Inc., as a wholesale vendor of electrical, mechanical/HVAC, data communications, plumbing, safety/security, and general construction supply materials. She resides in Philadelphia.

Skylar Hoyle Miller is a 2nd grade teacher at Satchel Ford Elementary School in Columbia, SC. Ms. Miller recently published her first children’s book, Devin’s Discovery, which was inspired by her daughter who began wearing SMO orthotic braces at the beginning of the year. She resides in Columbia, SC, with her husband, and their daughter, Evie. Ms. Miller’s book can be purchased on Amazon.

Emma Versaw has been with News America Marketing for seven years in both Atlanta, and New York City. Ms. Versaw has been promoted to Regional Sales Manager in the Northeast. She resides in Brooklyn, NY.

2014

Aaron Darby is a Procurement Specialist for Coca-Cola Bottlers’ Sales and Services in Atlanta. Mr. Darby is studying to earn his MBA from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Elisabeth Kilroy successfully defended her PhD in Biomedical Science at the University of Maine and accepted a post-doctoral fellowship at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH.

Mike Maus is a Customer Experience Analyst for Exact Sciences based in Madison, WI. Mr. Maus joined the team at Exact Sciences in 2015 as a Market Development Representative. He resides in Atlanta.

Lexi Sorbara is a Counselor for Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Survivors for Brighter Tomorrows in Irving, TX. Ms. Sorbara earned her MA in marriage and family therapy from Notre Dame de Namur University in 2019. She married Andrew Morgan ’12 in February 2020.

Ross Taylor and Elisa Maggioncalda ’11 are both resident physicians who have a passion and foundation in science, research, and medicine. Dr. Taylor is a Resident Physician in Radiation Oncology for VCU Health in Richmond, VA. Dr. Maggioncalda is a Diagnostic Radiology Resident Physician at UNC Health in Chapel Hill, NC.

2015

Fitz Nicholas earned his MA in political economy and human rights from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver in June.

Sam Tuten is the Director of Planning for Sixmo City Services in Marietta, OH. Mr. Tuten launched a local podcast called My Town Hustle to discuss local issues that impact small towns everywhere. He and his wife, Maggie, reside in Marietta, OH.

2016

Gabi Harfst is the Marketing Manager of Eastern Airlines, based in Wayne, PA. Since February, Eastern Airlines has helped repatriate over 15,000 stranded citizens from Central and South America. The airline is scheduled to launch service to Haiti, Cabo, Guyana, and more in the upcoming year. Ms. Harfst resides in King of Prussia, PA.

Zach Noltemeyer is a Registered Nurse at MUSC. Mr. Noltemeyer is studying to earn his DNP from MUSC with plans to graduate in 2022.

Marjorie Rawle was awarded a full scholarship to Tulane University for their art history master’s program. Upon graduation, Ms. Rawl was offered the curatorial fellowship at the Fitchburg Art Museum in Fitchburg, MA. After one year, she has been promoted to Assistant Curator. Ms. Rawl resides in Worcester, MA.

2017

Dalton Hester is the Director of Recruiting for Consolidated Planning Inc., in Mount Pleasant, SC.

2018

Amalee Brown Bingham is on the Stylist Team for Stitch Fix, based in Austin, TX. Ms. Bingham and her husband, Marshall, reside in Temple, TX.

2019

Dupree Hart has been elected to the Alumni Board. He is a former baseball player at the College and is now the manager for Enterprise Car Rentals, based in Summerville, SC.

Jay Satterfield is the Campaign Field Manager for Congressman Joe Cunningham (SC-01) and recently accepted a similar position for Congresswoman Elaine Luria in Virginia’s 2nd Congressional district. After the November elections, Mr. Satterfield plans to continue his work in the political arena while going back to school at American University to earn his Master’s in international affairs. He resides in Charleston, SC.

2020

Danielle Donato is an Account Manager for Nolan Transportation Group in Charleston, SC.

Rachel Moss is working towards her MEd in clinical mental health counseling at Clemson University with plans to graduate in 2022. Ms. Moss resides in Florence, SC.

Ryan Murphy is a Bilingual Office Assistant for MUSC Children’s Health University Pediatrics in North Charleston, SC.

Alussa Owings is a 7th and 8th Grade ELA Teacher for the Berkeley County School District. She resides in Summerville, SC.

Jada Pierre is an Associate Internal Auditor for TIAA in Charlotte, NC.

Hampton Slagle is a Junior Interior Designer for Lindroth Design and Associates and a Vendor Relations Coordinator for the Dewberry Group. Mr. Hampton resides in Charleston, SC.
