1979
Kathy Crocker Williams was promoted to Chief Executive Officer of Framatome Inc., an international nuclear energy company, in July. She previously served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the company since 2014. Ms. Williams serves on the College’s Foundation Board and is a spirited supporter of her alma mater. She resides in Cornelius, NC.
1983
Stephanie Muller Bell recently affiliated her real estate license with Century 21 Vanguard, part of the Harrelson Group, out of Myrtle Beach, SC. Ms. Bell has been a real estate agent for more than two decades in South Carolina’s Midlands region. She has dozens of relatives who attended the College, which includes one of her children. Ms. Bell has three children and two grandchildren and resides in Irmo, SC. She recently made a generous gift to the Alumni Fund.
1988
Richard Maclean was honored with the Howard F. Rudd Jr. Business Person of the Year award during the College’s 2023 Alumni Awards Gala at the Charleston Marriott in November. Mr. Maclean is a founding partner of Frontier Growth, a growth-equity firm focusing primarily on managed IT and healthcare management software and services investment activities. He also serves on the boards of Healthx, Celergo and talentReef. Mr. Maclean obtained his MBA from the University of Virginia and is a stalwart support of the College, having endowed the Maclean Business “Ready to Work” Scholarship. He and his wife, Holly, reside in Charlotte, NC.
1989
Jennie Stephens (MPA ’94) was recognized as Alumna of the Year during the College’s 2023 Alumni Awards Gala at the Charleston Marriott in November. Ms. Stephens is CEO at the Center for Heirs’ Property Preservation, a nonprofit that protects property either purchased or deeded to African Americans after emancipation. In 2022 the U.S. Department of Agriculture named her to its newly formed Subcommittee on Agriculture as part of its Equity Commission. Ms. Stephens obtained her PhD in organizational leadership from Regent University in 2012. She resides in Goose Creek, SC, and recently made a gift to the Alumni Association Fund.
1992
Tracie Dana Sykes released her first book, All Before SiX: Nostalgia and Me, in November. All before SiX chronicles her memories, experiences, and adventures growing up in rural South Carolina and pays homage to the many mentors, family members, and friends who played vital roles in shaping her during her early years. Ms. Sykes teaches art history at Charleston Southern University and resides in Mount Pleasant, SC.
1994
Scott Foxhall joined Auburn University in July as the Director of Player Development for the university’s baseball program. Mr. Foxhall began his three-decade coaching career at the College after he finished playing for the Cougars. In 2022, he helped coach Mississippi State to a College World Series championship and was subsequently recognized as CofC’s Alumnus of the Year. Mr. Foxhall resides in Waverly, AL, with his wife, Laura, and children, Kade and Kennedy.
Jason Smith is the Export Manager at Nippon Express. He and his wife, Donna, reside in Peabody, MA, with their three children, Chase, Shayna, and Abby.
1997
Beth Reines Gunter is the Chief Revenue Officer and Partial Owner of Spry Digital, a digital solutions agency based in St. Louis. She also serves on multiple boards, including the Executive Board of the St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Ms. Gunter married Tim Gunter in November 2020, and the couple celebrated the birth of their son, Carson Wheeler, last December. The Gunters reside in Olivette, MO, with their four children, Grace, Carson, Benjamin, and Hunter.

Patrick Rickard was promoted to AVP Human Resources for Norfolk Southern in June. He earned his MA in human resource development from The George Washington University in 2012. Mr. Rickard resides in Atlanta and recently made a gift to the Alumni Fund.

Lief Fitzpatrick is the Assistant Public Works Director for the Town of Matthews, NC. Mr. Fitzpatrick obtained his MPA from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2017. He resides in Monroe, NC, with his wife, Stephanie, and children, Lennon and Connor.

Christine Gibbons is the new AVP Senior Underwriter – Property Facultative for Gen Re in New York City.
2001
Fritz Brown is the new Portfolio Manager at JWB Real Estate Companies in Jacksonville, FL.
2002
Mildred Embree was recognized with the Honors College Distinguished Alumni Award during the College’s 2023 Alumni Awards Gala at the Charleston Marriott in November. Ms. Embree is the Dr. Edwin S. Robinson Assistant Professor of Dental Medicine in orthodontics and Director of the TMJ Biology and Regenerative Medicine Laboratory at Columbia University. She completed her DMD and PhD in cell biology at MUSC and later completed an orthodontic residency at Columbia University School of Dentistry. She resides in Bloomfield, NJ, with her daughter, Amelia.
Matt Tuerk was recognized with the Distinguished Alumnus Award during the College’s 2023 Alumni Awards Gala at the Charleston Marriott in November. Mr. Tuerk is the Mayor of Allentown, PA, the state’s third-largest city. He earned his MBA from the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina. He and his wife, Karen Tuerk ’02, reside in Allentown, PA, with their two daughters, Amelia and Margot.

Alicia Hatter Weir is the Head of Financial Advisor Experience Research at Vanguard. Ms. Weir earned her MA in technical communication from Georgia State University in 2007 and PhD in rhetoric, communication, and information design from Clemson University in 2011. She resides in Acworth, GA, with her husband, Kevin, and children, Ben and Gabby.

Jennifer Barbarino Reagin joined Dickens Mitchener Residential Real Estate as a Real Estate Agent in October. Ms. Reagin resides in Charlotte, NC, with her husband, Matt.
Jennifer Kinzeler Williams joined Saxton & Stump as a shareholder and member of the firm’s Business, Corporate and Tax, Trusts and Estates, and Real Estate groups in September. Ms. Williams works out of the firm’s Charleston, SC, office.
2006
Meredith Roy Campbell is the Vice President of Enrollment for Career Evolved. She is married to Alex Campbell ’04, and the couple resides in Fort Lauderdale, FL, with their two sons, Christian and Oliver.
David Guess is the Content Manager of Pinnacle Creative. He and his wife, Caitlin, married in 2015, and the couple resides in Florence, SC, with their sons, Oliver and Cooper.
Aundrea Eason Loftley was recognized with the Outstanding Award in Medicine during the College’s 2023 Alumni Awards Gala at the Charleston Marriott in November. Ms. Loftley is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Endocrinology and Vice Chair for Diversity and Inclusion in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolic Diseases at the MUSC Department of Medicine. She completed her medical school training, internal medicine residency, and an endocrinology fellowship at MUSC. Ms. Loftley resides in Mount Pleasant, SC, with her husband, Charles Loftley ’05, and their sons, Andrew and Lucas. Ms. Loftley recently made a gift to the Alumni Association Fund.
2008
Danielle Duchaine is the new Director of Onboarding for Quility Insurance. She first joined the company in January as the Director of Agent Engagement. Ms. Duchaine resides in Charlotte, NC.
Molly Cole Duffy became the Head of Marketing at Mantra Health in July.
Michael Passarello was awarded the inaugural College of Charleston Geology Alumni Service Award in November. He is a co-founder of the College’s Geology Alumni Endowed Fund, which has already supported a dozen students. Mr. Passarello is a Senior Technical Consultant & Advisor of Oil & Gas for Esri. He earned his MS in geological and earth sciences/geosciences from The University of Texas at Austin in 2011. He resides in Summerville, SC, with his wife, Kelly, and recently made a gift to the BEAMS Program.
Brady Quirk-Garvan has been named as one of four South Carolinians hired by President Joe Biden to lead his 2024 presidential campaign in the Palmetto State. Mr. Quirk-Garvan previously served as Chair of the Charleston County Democratic Party for five years. Since 2011, he has worked for Natural Investments, a high-impact ESG investment firm. He also serves on the College’s Foundation Board and the board for Green America. Mr. Quirk-Garvan and his wife, Angela, are fervent supporters of the College. In 2018, the couple endowed the Quirk-Garvan Endowed Scholarship to reward, encourage, and promote leadership as well as civic and social action among students. The Quirk-Garvans reside in North Charleston, SC, with their daughter, Mae.

Anjuri Jain is the new Associate Director – FP&A at BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. Ms. Jain earned her MBA from Northeastern University in 2021, and she resides in Oakland, CA.
Joseph P. Riley Jr. (honorary degree) was recognized with the Alumni Award of Honor during the College’s 2023 Alumni Awards Gala at the Charleston Marriott in November. Mr. Riley was the Mayor of Charleston from 1976 to 2016. A graduate of The Citadel, Mayor Riley launched Spoleto Festival USA in 1977 and spoke at the dedication of the Marlene and Nathan Addlestone Library in 2005. In 2001, the College launched the Joseph P. Riley Jr. Center for Urban Affairs and Policy Studies, now known as the Joseph P. Riley Jr. Center for Livable Communities. Mayor Riley earned an honorary degree in 2009 for his service both to the College and to the city. He resides in Charleston, SC, with his wife, Charlotte.
2010
GP McLeer was sworn in for his second term as Mayor of Fountain Inn, SC, in December. Mr. McLeer is the Executive Director of the Upstate Mobility Alliance, a nonprofit working to advance transportation policy, investment, and solutions across the Upstate region. He is also the co-founder of Pecan Public Relations, LLC, a nonprofit consulting firm with clients statewide. Mr. McLeer and his wife, Taylor, reside in Fountain Inn, SC, with their daughter, Albee James.
2012
Lauren Deasy Blackshaw and Aaron Blackshaw ’12 welcomed their second child, Chase Michael Blackshaw, to the family in September. Ms. Blackshaw is a Therapist at Charlotte Therapy Center. She earned her MA in counseling from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2017. The Blackshaw family resides in Mint Hill, NC.
Michael Pappas has been promoted to Senior Consultant at Higher Logic, an Arlington, VA-based software company.
Ricardo Robinson (MEd) earned his EdD in education systems improvement science from Clemson University this month. Mr. Robinson is an Assistant Principal with District of Columbia Public Schools. He earned his BS in elementary education from Benedict College in 2009 and his EdS in educational administration and supervision from South Carolina State University in 2016. Mr. Robinson resides in Washington, D.C., and recently gave to the Campus Preservation Fund.
Andria Rogers is the owner of Andria Barboné, a New York City-based jewelry store featuring hand-crafted vintage and antique jewelry. Ms. Rogers is married to Darren Boulton ’13, and the couple resides in New York.
Ameerah Mills Vickers came home to the College in November to serve as a Housing Operations Coordinator for Campus Housing. Ms. Vickers earned her MEd in secondary school counseling from The Citadel in 2016. She resides in Summerville, SC, with her husband, James Vickers ’15, and two children, Journee and Arya.

Anna Cogswell is the new Head of Retreats & Experiences for Hampton, and she resides in New York City.
2014
Mary Askew was promoted to Business Development Executive at Frazier & Deeter in October. She married John Norton in April, and the couple resides in Atlanta.
Ashley Cafasso was recognized with the Young Alumna Award during the College’s 2023 Alumni Awards Gala at the Charleston Marriott in November. She worked at New York Presbyterian Hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic as a Project Lead and Manager and developed corporate health programs for 26 Fortune 500 companies. Ms. Cafasso earned her MPH from Tulane University in 2015. She resides in New York City and recently gave generously to several of the College’s scholarship funds.
Margaret Fender joined Roper St. Francis Healthcare as an Administrative Coordinator in November.
Kevin Phillips was elected Mayor of Port Royal, SC, in November. He has served on the Port Royal Town Council since 2019. In 2017, he obtained his JD from the Charleston School of Law. He resides in Port Royal, SC, with his wife, Jenny.
Casey Wadsworth was featured on the front page of the November 2023 edition of VIP Magazine. Ms. Wadsworth is an OB-GYN at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at MUSC after earning her MD from the medical university in 2019. She resides in Hartsville, SC.
2015
Sammy Cavanagh Bowers recently celebrated her honeymoon with her husband, Justin, by scaling Mount Kilimanjaro. The Bowers family resides in Colorado Springs, CO.
Tanner Clay was awarded the Young Alumnus Award during the College’s 2023 Alumni Awards Gala at the Charleston Marriott in November. Mr. Clay is the Director of Revenue for the Charleston Battery and created the yearly tradition of CofC Night at the Battery. He and his wife, Irene Villegas Diego, reside in Charleston, SC, with their son, Diego.
Rebecca Roselee Cohen-Collins and Zachariah Collins ’13 celebrated the birth of their first child, Rose Elisabeth Collins, in July 2022. The couple married in 2017 and reside in Phoenix.
Kelsey De Porte is a freelance Digital Campaigns Specialist who works with youth, climate, and social justice grassroots groups and networks on building impactful campaigns across Europe. Ms. De Porte resides in Helsinki, Finland.
Jackie Hazlett is the co-founder of Indigo Animal Outreach, a Daniel Island, SC-based animal welfare program. She started the passion project with fellow alumna Stephanie Fauvelle ’08. Both women also serve on the board of the Animal Legislative Action League, a bipartisan organization whose mission is to improve animal welfare laws in Charleston, SC.
Alexandra Jones was promoted to Creative Services Manager at Hero Bread in November. Ms. Jones resides in Austin, TX.

Tim Beliveau is a Parks and Beach Supervisor for the City of Encinitas, CA, and resides in San Diego.
Harriet Collins Wrinkle married Robert Wrinkle in December in Friendsville, TN. Ms. Collins is the Assistant Director, Student Conduct & Community Standards at the University of Tennessee. The couple resides in Knoxville, TN.
Alexis McHarg Fishburne wed John Barnwell Fishburne Jr. ’10 in Bermuda in September. Ms. Fishburne is the Head Buyer and Clothing Designer for Charleston Shoe Company, and the couple resides in Charleston, SC.
Dalena Huynh joined NEJM Group and Body Scientific International as a Medical Illustrator in October. Ms. Huynh earned her MS in biomedical visualization from the University of Illinois at Chicago in May. She resides in Chicago.
Octavia Sims joined Valbridge Property Advisors’ Northern California office in October as an Appraisal Analyst. She resides in Hayward, CA.
Emily Wile was promoted to Senior Account Manager with Sprouthouse Agency in October. Ms. Wile resides in Washington, D.C.
2017
Nicole Alban is a Teacher for Natick Public Schools. Ms. Alban earned her MEd in reading from Bridgewater State University in 2021, and she resides in Watertown, MA.
Katie Hancock joined Colorado Senate Democrats as a Senior Legislative Aide in November. Ms. Hancock obtained her Master of Social Work from the University of Denver in June, and she resides in Lakewood, CO.
Sammi Maziejka graduated from the Elon University School of Law in December.
Savannah Mudwilder is the Home Care Manager at Stay Duvet and resides in Mount Pleasant, SC.
Kaitlin Burt Williams and Bryan Williams ’17 were married in Charleston, SC, in February 2022. Ms. Burt is a Legislative Assistant for the United States Senate. Mr. Williams is a Relationship Manager, Government, for Moody’s Analytics. The couple resides in Washington, D.C.

William Detwiler and KimberMarie Faircloth graduated from the Elon University School of Law in December.
Elisabeth Wait is an Organizer for Alphabet Workers Union – CWA Local 9009. Ms. Wait earned her MA in history from the College in 2021 and resides in Charleston, SC.

Carter Chase joined Kroll in New York City as a Senior Associate in November.
Nicholas DeNooyer is the Executive Manager at DeNooyer Chevrolet in Albany, NY, and resides in Ballston Spa, NY.
Alia Kapasi is the new Campaign Manager for Kirsten Engel, a congressional candidate in Arizona.
2020
Caroline Greenblatt Matthews married Eugene Hamilton Matthews Jr. in November. Ms. Matthews is the Middle School English Department Head at The Williams School. She earned her MA in English and education from the University of Virginia in 2022, and she and her husband reside in Charlottesville, VA.
Jack Reich was promoted to Leasing Performance and Data Manager at REV The Multifamily Leasing Company in November. He assisted in the development and recent launch of The REV Leasing Score, a tech-driven business intelligence tool built to quantitatively evaluate the leasing operations of multifamily assets. Mr. Reich resides in Houston.
Katie Stagliano was named a 2023 Southerner of the Year by Southern Living magazine. She is the founder of Katie’s Krops, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to start and maintain vegetable gardens of all sizes and donate the harvests to help feed people in need. To date, Katie’s Krops has donated more than 600,000 pounds of produce. Ms. Stagliano resides in Summerville, SC.

Zeke Carsella is a new Program Manager for National Positions, a digital marketing agency based out of Los Angeles.
Dawson O’Brien graduated from the Elon University School of Law in December.
Tyler Rothenberg (MBA) is the new Vice President of Marketing Operations for Grain & Barrel Spirits and resides in North Charleston, SC.
Donovan Tate-Davis started a new position as a Staff/Press Assistant for the U.S. House of Representatives. He resides in Washington, D.C.
Joe Velazquez joined CBRE as a Field Research Analyst in February. Mr. Velazquez resides in Charleston, SC, and recently gave to the Campus Preservation Fund.

Kathlene Dorking is the new Administrative Assistant to Senators Sally Harrell and Sheikh Rahman in the Georgia General Assembly.
Hallie Hammond returned to her alma mater in November the join the College as a Recreation Coordinator with Campus Recreation Services. This month, Ms. Hammond earned her MA in sport management from The Citadel. She resides in Charleston, SC, and recently gave to the Campus Preservation Fund.

Mandy Armstrong is a Barista at Kudu Coffee and Craft Beer and resides in Charleston, SC.
Isabel Crews joined WCIV-TV as a News Producer in November. She resides in Charleston, SC, and recently gave to the Campus Preservation Fund.
Marissa Dunbar (MBA) is a new Account Executive for the South Carolina Stingrays, the Lowcountry’s professional hockey team. Ms. Dunbar earned her BS in therapeutic recreation/recreational therapy from Aurora University in 2021. She resides in Charleston, SC, and recently made a gift to the School of Business MBA Scholarship.
Hunter Haines is a new Talent Acquisition Coordinator for Volvo Cars Charleston Plant. Mr. Haines resides in Summerville, SC, and recently made a gift to the Alumni Association Fund.
Colin McKenzie is a new Account Executive with the Charleston RiverDogs in Charleston, SC. He joined the back-to-back-to-back champions as a full-time intern for the 2023 season.
