1978
Hidefumi Katsuura recently published a mathematics textbook, Introduction to Analysis; Theorems and Examples, through Springer Nature. Dr. Katsuura is a Professor Emeritus at San José State University, where he taught for four decades and published more than 30 mathematical research papers in topology, analysis, and geometry. He and his wife, Frances, reside in Berkeley, CA.
1990
Elizabeth Lybrand has been named the Director of Financial Services at Dorchester School District Two. She previously served as Comptroller for the district for nearly 30 years. Ms. Lybrand and her husband, John, reside in Summerville, SC.
1992
Kimberly Pyszka is an Associate Professor of Anthropology and Chair of the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Social Work at Auburn University at Montgomery. Dr. Pyszka earned her MA in anthropology in 2003 and her PhD in anthropology in 2012, both from the University of Tennessee. She resides in Montgomery, AL, and recently made a gift to CofC’s Anthropology Program Fund.

Kara Shadwick Museler was one of 11 advisors in Rhode Island to be named to the 2024 Forbes Top Women Advisors Best-In-State list. Ms. Museler is the Senior Vice President of Wealth Management with The Hilton Group. She and her husband, Chris, reside in Jamestown, RI.
1997
Art Fisher has been nominated by President Donald Trump to serve as the U.S. Ambassador to Austria. Mr. Fisher is President of Fisher Realty, his family’s real estate firm founded in 1977. While at the College, he served as President of the Association of Collegiate Entrepreneurs, Vice President of the Interfraternity Council, and Delegate to the Harvard University Model United Nations. Mr. Fisher resides in Brevard, NC.

Chip Robinson (MS ’04) is the Lead Pastor at King’s Cross Church. Pastor Robinson earned his MDiv from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2016. He and his wife, Kristen, reside in Mount Pleasant, SC.
2000
David Cabrera is the Chief of Staff at the Van Andel Institute. He was recently elected President of the Association of Independent Research Institutes, a national society of not-for-profit biomedical and basic science research organizations, for the 2025-26 term. Mr. Cabrera resides in Wyoming, MI, with his daughters, Mira and Eva. He recently made a generous gift to CofC’s Alumni Fund.
Ryan Clark was named Managing Director of Pyxl’s new Charleston, SC, office in December. He and his wife, Katherine Parker Clark ’03, reside in Charleston, SC.
Jamie Guyan has been named Vice President of Planned Furniture Promotions, Inc. He and his wife, Deniece, reside in Mount Pleasant, SC, with their two daughters. A former coach at the College, Mr. Guyan is a stalwart supporter of CofC’s Men’s Soccer Fund.

Blake Youmans is the Chief Executive Officer and Medical Manager of Dynamic Stem Cell Therapy. Mr. Youmans resides in Las Vegas with his wife and child.
2003
Joseph Brown III has joined Godley Station Dental as an Associate Dentist. Dr. Brown earned his DMD from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2008. A member of the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association, and the Southeastern District Dental Society, Dr. Brown resides in Hardeeville, SC, with his two sons, Jeb and Lawson.

Lori Atkinson is the Director of Development at Charleston Collegiate School. She earned her MLS degree from Southern Methodist University in 2009. Ms. Atkinson resides in Johns Island, SC, and is a generous supporter of CofC’s Communication Department Fund.
Chelsea Vukelic Darcangelo is the Senior Vice President of Human Resources at PORT 32 Marinas. She and her husband, Devin, reside in Mount Pleasant, SC, with their sons, John and Rhett.

Derek Estep was elected as District Attorney for Washington County, TX, and was sworn in on January 1. Mr. Estep earned his JD from the Charleston School of Law in 2008. He and his wife, Lauren, reside in Brenham, TX.

Anderson Bowes is a Principal Client Partner at Dayforce. He married Taylor Ford ’15 in June, and the couple resides in Chester Springs, PA.
Annaleigh Porter has been named a Cayuga Nation Tribal Court Judge. Judge Porter earned her JD from the Syracuse University College of Law in 2010. She resides in Syracuse, NY.
Maggie Spell was named Chief Human Resources Officer of Jones Walker LLP in December. She earned her JD from Louisiana State University in 2009. Ms. Spell resides in New Orleans.

Melissa Rocker is a Postdoctoral Scientist at Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences in East Boothbay, ME. She earned her PhD in marine biology from James Cook University in 2016.

Bryce Helfer joined Hemenway & Barnes, LLP, as Counsel in the Private Client Group. He earned his JD from the University of Maryland in 2012 and his LLM in taxation from Georgetown University in 2013. Mr. Helfer resides in Boston.

Jamilia Brevard is a Seventh Grade Special Education Teacher at A.R. Rucker Middle School. Ms. Brevard was named the school’s 2024 Teacher of the Year. She resides in Heath Springs, SC.
Jay Jordan is a Safety Consultant at Life and Safety Consultants, Inc. He and his wife, Ashley, married in 2023, and the couple resides in Greenville, SC.

Brooke Warden is the Owner and Founder of the Pink Cactus, a traditional Oaxacan Mexican restaurant in downtown Charleston. Ms. Warden resides in Charleston, SC.

S.O. Jeffcoat is the Arts Education Director at the South Carolina Civil Rights Museum in Orangeburg, SC. She was conferred her PhD in information science with a focus on digital engagement in arts nonprofits from the University at Albany in September. Dr. Jeffcoat and her husband, Adebayo, reside in Columbia, SC, with their daughter, Olamide.
Brittany Morra Quinn is a Sustainability Specialist for the State of North Carolina. Ms. Quinn earned her MS in sustainable design and construction from Stanford University in 2017. She and her husband, Daniel, reside in Williamsburg, VA.
Winema Sanders joined Joint Base Charleston Military & Family Readiness as a Work Life and Financial Educator in December. Ms. Sanders and her son, Kymani, reside in Goose Creek, SC.

Catherine Claro is a Movement Disorders Nurse Practitioner for Northwell Health. She earned her MS in nursing from Thomas Jefferson University in 2018. She and her husband, Marcus, reside in Chicago.

Brian Ackerman is a Federal Police Officer for the Department of Defense. Mr. Ackerman resides in Honolulu and recently made gifts to the CofC Fund and the Alumni Association Fund.

Jaclyn Vernet Embiricos is studying interior design at The New School with plans to earn her AAS in May. She married George Embiricos in July, and the couple resides in New York City.
Erin Ingraham Guyton (MBA) was named Chief Performance Officer of LaunchPad Home Group in December. Ms. Guyton resides in Frederick, MD.
Tori Williams Nardone joined the Women’s Rights & Empowerment Network as its Marketing Coordinator in December. She and her husband, Albert Nardone ’14, reside in Mount Pleasant, SC, with their son.
Breonta Peterson is a Certified Pharmacy Technician at the Medical University of South Carolina. Ms. Peterson resides in Charleston, SC.
Sophia Salsbery married Evan Thomas in September. Ms. Salsbery is the owner of The Source Indy, a gift boutique with local, handmade, curated goods in Indianapolis.
Madison Tarleton is a Career Readiness Coach at the University of Tampa and an Assistant Coach at Tampa Bay Aquatics. She earned her MA in 2017 and PhD in 2023, both in religious studies, from the University of Denver. Dr. Tarleton resides in Clearwater, FL.

Jessica Morse Arbiser is the Cybersecurity Manager of Training and Awareness at The Home Depot. Ms. Arbiser and her husband, Ethan, reside in Atlanta.
Janice Garrett McGill married Fabien McGill ’16 in 2023, and the couple resides in Hopkins, SC.
Viraj Naik is the Media Resources Specialist for the Black Heritage Trail at Clemson University. The trail connects heritage sites with interactive signs, artwork, and digital content that share the stories of local Black history and South Carolina historical markers at significant historic sites in the Upstate. Mr. Naik resides in Seneca, SC.
Leo Pate III is the Senior Director, Central Region Lead, at NetSPI. He and his wife, Kayla Rose Pate ’16, reside in Simpsonville, SC, with their son, Quentin.
Joseph Quisol joined xAI as a Bilingual AI Tutor in October. Mr. Quisol also owns and operates Quisol, a design, media, and education consultation company. He earned his MEd in arts in education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in 2018. Mr. Quisol resides in Charlotte, NC.
Olivia Thacker Tompkins is the Manager of Customer Success at Nutanix. She married Brett Tompkins in 2022, and the couple resides in Cary, NC.
Melissa Whiting is a VIP Manager at Ritual. Ms. Whiting previously danced professionally for the NBA’s Chicago Bulls. Ms. Whiting resides in Mount Pleasant, SC.

Joe Boscia is studying at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine with plans to earn his MD this May. He earned his MS in chemistry from Villanova University in 2020. Mr. Boscia resides in Spartanburg, SC.
Collin Davidson is an Attorney at Horton & Associates, LLC. He earned his JD from the Charleston School of Law in 2022. Mr. Davidson resides in Bluffton, SC.
Nola Henry was named the Head Coach of Rose Basketball Club in November. The team will compete in the newly formed Unrivaled women’s 3v3 basketball league. Following the season, Ms. Henry will join the coaching staff at the Dallas Wings of the WNBA as an Assistant Coach. She previously served as an Assistant Coach for the Los Angeles Sparks.
Clyde Moser (MAT ’23) is a Teacher at Wando High School. He was named Wando’s Rookie Teacher of the Year for the 2023-24 school year. Mr. Moser also teaches performing arts at the Musical Theatre Center in Mount Pleasant, SC. He recently played Mr. Wiggins and The Ghost of Christmas Past in The Historic Dock Street Theatre’s performance of A Christmas Carol.

Aleah James is the Assistant Director of Admissions and Recruitment at George Washington University. She earned her MEd in instructional design from Liberty University in 2020. Ms. James resides in Sumter, SC.
Kristina Moss is a First Grade Teacher for the Wake County Public School System. She earned her MA in teaching from North Carolina State University. Ms. Moss is an avid karateka and is a two-time USA Karate National Champion. She resides in Raleigh, NC.

Ragan Richardson Bishop is the South Carolina Telehealth Alliance Manager for the Medical University of South Carolina. Ms. Bishop earned her MHA from MUSC in 2023. She married Braxton Bishop in July, and the couple resides in Columbia, SC.
Sammy Bledsoe is a C-17 Pilot with the Air Force Reserves. Ms. Bledsoe resides in Charleston, SC.
