1979
Bess Watson Kellett retired from the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources after 15 years as the Volunteer Coordinator for the department’s Botany Bay Plantation Wildlife Management Area on Edisto Island. Ms. Kellett managed around 100 volunteers and created opportunities for them to engage, learn, and educate the public about the state preserve. She resides in Edisto Island, SC, and is a devoted supporter of the College.
1980
Mark Shiver is the Communications Liaison for the House Republican Caucus in the North Carolina General Assembly. He published a book in February entitled, Streams of Life: Fresh Living Water for Life’s Desert Experiences. Mr. Shiver resides in Clayton, NC.
1981
Phil Cromer (MPA) was elected Mayor of Beaufort, SC, in December. He served on Beaufort’s City Council from 2014 until 2022. Mayor Cromer resides in Beaufort, SC, with his wife of 41 years, Amelie Cromer. He is a stalwart supporter of the College, recently making a generous gift to the CofC School of Humanities & Social Sciences Dean’s Excellence Fund.
1982
Meg Skow recently joined the CofC Department of Teacher Education as an Adjunct Faculty member. Ms. Skow taught art in Dorchester District 2 for nearly four decades, having spent the last 25 years at Rollings Middle School of the Arts. Her educational background includes a gifted education endorsement from Charleston Southern University; a national board certification in art/early adolescence through young adulthood; and postgraduate coursework at The Citadel, University of South Carolina, Charleston Southern University, and College of Charleston.
1987
Betsy Fanning (MAT ’95) is the Head of School at Trident Academy in Mount Pleasant, SC. Ms. Fanning earned her MAT in special education from the College in 1995 and her MEd in school administration from The Citadel in 2002. She and her husband, Jack, reside in Charleston, SC.
1989
Dan Furlong was promoted to VP, Program Management, at Juvena Therapeutics in January. Dr. Furlong obtained his MBA from The Citadel in 1996 and his DHA in healthcare administration from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in 2016. Dr. Furlong has held Adjunct Faculty positions at both The Citadel and MUSC over the years. He remains involved at MUSC as an Adjunct Assistant Professor, and he resides in Charleston, SC.
1991
Cary Martorelli Gargis married Tim Gargis ’88 last September in Charleston, SC. The couple first met at the College in 1987, went their separate ways, then reunited 22 years later in 2019. The couple resides in Kennesaw, GA.
Scott Moody is the Director of Finance at Palmetto Care Connections. Mr. Moody earned his MHA from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1993. He resides in Ruffin, SC.
Amy Miller Parker is the Owner and Founder of Qigong with Amy. Ms. Parker earned her MS in therapeutic recreation from the University of Tennessee. She resides in Mount Pleasant, SC, with her husband, Tom.

Barbara Blitch Hunter is the Broker in Charge at Complete Real Estate. Ms. Hunter married her husband, Joseph, in 2015, and the couple resides in Charleston, SC.
1995
Gene Grygielko is the VP, Research Operations and Externalization, at GSK. He earned his MS in biotechnology from the University of Pennsylvania in 2003 and his EMBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology in 2022. Mr. Grygielko resides in Havertown, PA, with his wife, Amy.
1996
Katherine Twombley is a Professor with Tenure in the Department of Pediatrics at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). Dr. Twombley published a book in January entitled, First Do No Harm: A Physician’s Burnout and Mental Health Guidebook from Medical School to Retirement. She earned her MD from MUSC in 2004. Dr. Twombley resides in Mount Pleasant, SC, and recently made a generous gift to CofC’s Alumni Fund.

Derek Smith is the new President and CEO of fleetTEC. He previously spent more than 22 years at Thomas J. Madden & Associates, most recently as President of the emergency lighting equipment sales company. Mr. Smith resides in Marrietta, GA.
2000
Kym Straughn Deer is the K-12 Director of Athletics for St. Anne Catholic School in Rock Hill, SC. Ms. Deer earned her MA in education with a concentration in sport administration from Wingate University in 2014. In 2018, she received a graduate certificate in Catholic school leadership from Creighton University. Ms. Deer and her husband, R.C., reside in Charlotte, NC, with their daughter, Quinn, and son, Camden.

Natasha Cobb Chatman (MEd ’09) is the new Chief Impact Officer at Trident United Way, an organization that works to bolster people’s lives through improved education, financial stability, and health in South Carolina’s Tri-County region. Ms. Chatman resides in Summerville, SC.
Katie Landis Flynn joined Peak Performers as a Success Enablement Partner in March and resides in Savannah, GA.
2004
Paul Bracewell is the Sales Operations Manager, Administrative & Systems, for Monster Brewing Company. He resides in Farview, NC, with his wife, Misty, and daughter, Josephine.
2006
Brittany Berlauk Falabella has been promoted to Partner at Hirschler’s Richmond, VA, office, where she focuses her practice on bankruptcy, restructuring, and creditors’ rights. Ms. Falabella earned her JD from the University of Richmond School of Law. She resides in Richmond, VA, with her husband, Paul.
Brittany Smith Huey and Derrick Huey ’09 celebrated the birth of their fourth child, Theodore, in January. The couple resides in Columbia, SC, with daughters Grace and Charlotte, and sons Adler and Theodore. The Hueys are ardent supporters of the College and recently made a generous gift to CofC’s Cougar Club.
Morgan Kaminski joined Savan as a Program Specialist in February. Ms. Kaminski earned her MBA from the University of Louisville in 2008. She resides in Washington, D.C.
Rebecca Charlap Kelley was elected and sworn in to the Southport, NC, Board of Aldermen in December where she will serve a four-year term. Ms. Kelley resides in her hometown of Southport, NC, with her daughter, Lorelai, and son, Greyson.
Carly Petracco joined Milieu Consulting as a Senior Policy Advisor in February. Ms. Petracco earned her MS in development economics from American University in 2008. She resides in Porto, Portugal.
2007
Jamie Van Etten and her wife, Kate Bradtmiller, welcomed their third child, Tobias, to the family in August. Dr. Van Etten is a Senior Manager, Quality Control, at Rion. She earned her PhD in biological chemistry from the University of Michigan in 2013. The couple resides in St. Paul, MN, with their daughter, Ruth, and two boys, Paul and Toby.
2008
John Nail has been promoted to Shareholder at Chamberlain Hrdlicka, a tax-focused law firm headquartered in Houston. Mr. Nail earned his JD from the Wake Forest University School of Law in 2014. He resides in Atlanta.
Sean Wilson is an Attorney and the Owner of Law Office of Sean M. Wilson, LLC. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the Charleston School of Law. In February, Mr. Wilson was awarded the Charleston Legal Luminary Award by the Charleston County Bar Association in recognition of his contributions to the legal community. Mr. Wilson earned his JD from the Charleston School of Law in 2011. He resides in Charleston, SC.
2009
Swen Harrington joined United Bank in December as the Vice President, Senior Fiduciary Wealth Advisor. Mr. Harrington graduated from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2019 with an MBA in finance and economics. He is married to Suzanne Wilson Harrington ’09. The couple celebrated the birth of their son, Wade, in 2022, and the family resides in Charleston, SC. Mr. Harrington recently made a generous gift to CofC’s Alumni Association Fund.
Greer Gunter Narowski is a Licensed Insurance Producer with Hilton Head Insurance & Brokerage. She was recently selected to pioneer the launch of The Insurance & Brokerage House, a new branch of the company based in Charleston, SC. Ms. Narowski resides in Charleston, SC, with her husband, Allan, and daughter, Poppy.

Jade Lawson Fountain (MPA) has been promoted to Director of Operations for The YoPro Know, a consulting company that specializes in increasing young professional recruitment and retention with companies. Ms. Fountain lives in Greenville, SC, with her husband and two children.
Logan Suggs Harris and Raymond Harris ’21 celebrated the birth of their daughter, Harley, in October. The couple married in December of 2022. Ms. Harris is a Registered Respiratory Therapist & ECMO Specialist at the Medical University of South Carolina. The couple resides in Ladson, SC, with their daughters, Jailyn and Harley.
Steven Holshouser is the Vice President of Business Development, North America, for Proteros Biostructures GmbH, a biotechnology company based in Germany. Dr. Holshouser earned his PhD in drug discovery and biomedical sciences from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2018. He and his wife, Sarah, reside in Swampscott, MA.
Evan Justyn is a new Fieldcraft Instructor for Seventh Dimension, LLC, in Fort Dix, NJ.
Sims Tompkins and Pamela Chakides Tompkins ’11 welcomed their daughter, Lillian, to the family in February 2023. Dr. Tompkins is an Orthodontist at his family’s practice, Tompkins Orthodontics, in Columbia, SC. He earned his DMD from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2018. The couple married in 2017 and reside in Columbia, SC, with their son, Daniel, and daughter, Lillian. The Tompkins family recently made a generous gift to the Charleston Athletic Fund.

Rachel Lee is an Associate Attorney for Smith Robinson Law. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the South Carolina Women Lawyers Association. Ms. Lee earned her JD from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2019. She resides in West Columbia, SC.
Alex Parker was promoted to Principal Enterprise Architect at Salesforce in February. He has worked for the cloud-based software company since 2018. Mr. Parker resides in Hartford, CT.
2013
Rachel Davis Horton is a Litigation Associate at Wyche. Ms. Horton and her husband, Anthony Horton ’13, welcomed their first child, William James Horton, to the family in December 2022. Ms. Horton earned her JD from the Duke University School of Law in 2021. The Horton family resides in Greenville, SC.

Chelsea Woodruff Cullins (MS ’19) is an Environmental Scientist II at Cherokee Federal and resides in Charleston, SC.
Jennifer Osborne was promoted in January to Senior Analyst, Assortment & Space Planning, for The Home Depot Store Support Center. Ms. Osborne married her husband, Joshua, in 2022, and the couple resides in Atlanta with their daughter, Harlow.
Joey Pumilia is the Founder of Therapy Actually, LLC, a psychotherapy private practice offering telehealth services to teens and young adults coping with anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, and life adjustments. Mr. Pumilia became a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in April 2023 after attending The Citadel’s MA program in clinical counseling. He resides in Hanahan, SC.
Molly Morse Squires is a Seventh Grade Social Studies Teacher at Moultrie Middle School. Ms. Squires and her husband, Don Squires, Jr. ’11, celebrated the birth of their son, Gibson, last April. The Squires are steadfast supporters of their alma mater and recently made a generous gift to the Charleston Athletic Fund.

Travis Green is a Pharmacist at Fort Carson for the U.S. Department of Defense. Mr. Green earned his PhD in pharmacy from Georgetown University in 2019, and he resides in Colorado Springs, CO.
Samantha Cantwell Korren is the Senior Accountant at The New Primal on Daniel Island, SC. Ms. Korren married Ben Korren ’16 in February, and the couple resides in Mount Pleasant, SC.
Sean Mahoney is a Travel RN for Host Healthcare. He resides in Charleston, SC.
Whitney Preston Thompson is a General Dentist at Dental Designs of Owensboro. Dr. Thompson earned her DMD from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in 2019. She and her husband, Samuel, reside in Owensboro, KY, with their daughter, Peyton.
Fallon Wyrick Willis is the Lead Human Resources Advisor at HR Anew. She earned her MS in human resource management from Southern New Hampshire University in 2018. Ms. Willis and her husband, William, reside in Wilmington, NC.
Akilah Worley is a Registered Nuse with Roper St. Francis Healthcare. Ms. Worley resides in Ladson, SC.

Ellie Goelz is the new Logistics Project Manager at WRG. She resides in Washington, D.C.
Caroline Hasson married Kevin Gentzel ’16 in December, and the couple resides in Bethesda, MD.
Hanna Horan is a Customer Success Manager at Amadeus Hospitality. She resides in Newport, RI.
Brianna Sabacinski Ingle is the Associate Director, Alumni Engagement, at the College and is the Executive Secretary of the CofC Alumni Association. She married Corey Ingle in February, and the couple resides in North Charleston, SC. Ms. Ingle is a stalwart supporter of her alma mater, recently giving to the Karen B. Jones ’74 Alumni Scholarship and the Facilities Management Appreciation Account.
Tavaris Jones is an Accountant for Vanaim Group. In 2023, he earned his MBA from Baylor University. Mr. Jones resides in Houston.
Shanice Page is a Cognitive Performance Specialist for the U.S. Army. Ms. Page earned her MA in psychology from the University of Arizona in 2021. She is currently pursuing her PSYD degree in sports and performance psychology from the University of Arizona with plans to graduate in 2026. Ms. Page resides in Fayetteville, NC.
Beka Schiff started a new job as a Social Media Manager at American Magic in February. Ms. Schiff has worked with US Sailing in several roles since 2016, including as a Coach, Committee Member, Event Planner, and Social Media Creator. She resides in Tampa, FL.
Amanda Dix Williams and her husband, Jake, welcomed their son, Hunter, to the family in January. The couple married in 2022 and resides in Frederick, MD, with their two children, Carter and Hunter.
2017
Meagan Dunham is a Program Manager and Social Worker at the Institute of Women and Ethnic Studies. She was recently selected to be a Global Health Fellow through the Global Health Corps, a leadership accelerator focused on building the next generation of global health leaders and mobilizing the movement for health equity worldwide. Ms. Dunham earned her MS in clinical social work from the Catholic University of America in 2022. She resides in New Orleans.

Christian Jablonski is a Manager, Luxe Partnership Development, with the Houston Texans of the National Football League. Mr. Jablonski earned his MS in sport management from Southern New Hampshire University in 2022. He resides in Houston and recently made generous gifts to CofC’s Alumni Fund and Alumni Greek Life Scholarships Fund.
Madison Bonneville Suter is studying at Western Governors University to obtain her MAT in elementary education with plans to graduate this year. She married Grant Suter in October of 2021, and the couple resides in Midland, GA.

Dawson Acorn has been promoted to Women’s Department Manager at CELINE. He resides in Miami.
Jamie Berger was promoted to Senior Operations & Events Associate at Privia Health in February. Ms. Berger resides in Arlington, VA.
Ashley Davis started a new job in January as a Community Planner for the U.S. Department of Defense. Ms. Davis earned her MS in law with a concentration in homeland security and crisis management from the University of Maryland Baltimore in 2022, and she received her AICP certification in 2023. She resides in Parris Island, SC, and recently made a gift to CofC’s Alumni Association Fund.
George Handy has been promoted to Mid-Market Account Executive at Salesforce in New York City.
Alex Howard is the new Event Sales Manager at BLT Steak D.C. and resides in Washington, D.C.
Francesca Howard is a Business Operations Analyst for DISH Network. Ms. Howard resides in Denver.
Courtney Lyles earned her MSN with a concentration in clinical nurse leadership from Augusta University in December. Ms. Lyles resides in North Augusta, SC.
Kate Power is a Copywriter at Deutsch LA, an advertising agency based in Los Angeles. She earned her MS in advertising from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2021. Ms. Power resides in Santa Monica, CA.

Rich Alexander (MSA ’20) became a Certified Public Accountant through the South Carolina Board of Accountancy in February. Mr. Alexander is a Financial Analyst for Sonoco. He resides in Florence, SC.
Barb Barger (MSA ’20) is an Experienced Senior Associate, State and Local Tax, at BDO USA. She resides in Charlotte, NC.
Catherine Green Christian is the new Outreach and Programming Coordinator, Office of Student Wellness and Well-being, at the College of Charleston. Ms. Christian is pursuing her MPH from the University of South Carolina and plans to graduate this May. She resides in Summerville, SC.
Scotty Frantz is the new Associate Manager, Merchandising Partnerships, for the National Basketball Association. He previously worked with the NFL Players Association as a Licensing Manager. Mr. Frantz earned his MS in sport management from George Washington University in 2021, and he resides in New York City.
Trevor Gibbs is a Meteorologist for Action News Jax. He resides in Jacksonville, FL.
Tim Housand started a new job in February as a Trainee Analyst with Bravens Inc. Mr. Housand earned his MS in integrated water resources management from the Cologne University of Applied Sciences in January. He resides in Glen Burnie, MD.
Emmie Karolyi is the Special Assistant for Advance within the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Office of the Secretary. Ms. Karolyi resides in Washington, D.C.
Alissa Konicki has been promoted to Real World Data Manager I at DELFI Diagnostics in Baltimore. Ms. Konicki earned her MHS in environmental health from Johns Hopkins University in May.
Sydney Moreano has been promoted to Senior Manager, Brand Strategy & Consumer Engagement for Late Night, Live Events & Specials, at NBCUniversal. Ms. Moreano resides in New York City.

Savannah Burgess has joined The Beach Co., as a new Leasing Consultant at The Jasper, a luxury apartment complex in Charleston, SC.
Julia Howard obtained her Doctor of Chiropractic from Life University this month. Dr. Howard resides in Rehoboth Beach, DE.
Amelia Davenport LeCompte is the new Case Manager, Center for Academic Performance and Persistence, at the College. Ms. LeCompte earned her MSW from the University of Denver in 2022. She and her husband, Peyton, reside in Charleston, SC.
Lindsey Ramsey was promoted to Business Systems Analyst at LAKE Pajamas in February. She resides in Johns Island, SC, and recently made a gift to CofC’s Campus Preservation Fund.

Adelaide Bates was named Climate Resilience Manager at Furman University’s Shi Institute for Sustainable Communities in February. In her new role, she will work with communities in the Lowcountry and Pee Dee regions of South Carolina to assist them in preparing for and reducing the effects of potential natural disasters and climate change. Ms. Bates resides in Charleston, SC.
Stefanie Elling has been promoted to Senior Salesforce Developer at Capgemini. She resides in Charleston, SC, and recently made a gift to CofC’s Campus Preservation Fund.
William McCann is the new Major Gifts Coordinator at City Harvest, a Brooklyn-based nonprofit that provides food for those in need. Mr. McCann resides in New York City.
Marie McMenamin earned her MA in classical studies and archaeology from Queen’s University in April 2023. She is now pursuing her PhD in geology from Queen’s University and plans to graduate in 2027. Ms. McMenamin resides in Ontario, Canada.

Gabrielle Anders joined Boeing in November as a Production Coordinator. She resides in Summerville, SC.
Grace Bonato is the new Government Account Representative at Carahsoft. Ms. Bonato resides in Rockville, MD.
Nicole Marsh is the new Manager of Continuing Student Transfer Evaluation, Office of the Registrar, at the College. Ms. Marsh resides in Summerville, SC.
Blake Mitrick is an Application Programmer Analyst at the College. He resides in Charleston, SC, and recently gave to CofC’s Alumni Fund.
AC Pandos has been promoted to Director of Customer Experience and Affiliate Partnerships at Debbie, a platform that rewards users for positive financial behaviors. Ms. Pandos resides in New York City and recently made a gift to CofC’s Campus Preservation Fund.
Rebecca Starkey is the new Collections and Outreach Coordinator at the College’s Mace Brown Museum of Natural History. Ms. Starkey resides in Charleston, SC.
