1978
Debra Stanley Stewart is the Senior Vice President, Community Development, for Pinnacle Financial Partners and resides in Charleston, SC.
1980
Greg West is the Founder and Pastor of Saint Claire of Assisi Catholic Church on Daniel Island, SC. Father West earned his master of divinity in 1990 and his MA in church history in 1991 from Mount Saint Mary’s Seminary. Later, he earned his licentiate in canon law from the Pontifical Gregorian University in 1995.
1982
Ted Pstrak is a Machinist for DC Machine. Mr. Pstrak and his wife, Julie, reside in North Charleston, SC, and have two sons. Mr. Pstrak and his siblings, who are also CofC alumni, recently donated to the Alumni Association to have a painting created of the late Anthony J. Meyer ’49 for the Alumni Welcome Center at Towell Library.
1986
Chuck Spell has relocated home to Ladson, SC, and is the Supervisory IT Manager for the U.S. Treasury. Mr. Spell is a generous donor to our alma mater, supporting the Alumni Fund, the CofC Fund, the 1967 Legacy Program, the Student Emergency Fund, and the College’s new Engineering program.
1989
Kelli Garrett and her spouse, Sunshine, presently own multiple businesses and partner on thousands of units of multifamily real estate. The couple resides in Mount Pleasant, SC. Ms. Garrett consistently donates to the College, making gifts to the Cougar Club, Women’s Basketball, the Student Emergency Fund, and the Athena Endowed Scholarship.
1990
Ann Quesenbery Baldwin is the new Office Manager for the College’s Library. Ms. Baldwin resides in Charleston, SC, with her husband, Jay, and their three children, Cullen Baldwin ’17, Anna Katherine Baldwin ’20, and J.J. Baldwin. The Baldwin family generously support the Tony Meyer ’49 Scholarship, the Karen Jones ’74 Scholarship, and many other programs at the College.
1991
Clint Yarborough is the Senior Vice President, Agency Operations Manager and SC Underwriting Counsel, for WFG National Title Insurance Company in Columbia, SC. Mr. Yarborough earned his JD from the University of South Carolina in 1993.
2000
Ryan Beasley is the Associate General Counsel, Procurement, for Ensemble Health Partners. Mr. Beasley earned his JD from Tulane University in 2003. He resides in New Orleans with his wife, Lauren, and their four children, Ryan, Oliver, Daphne, and Scarlett. Mr. Beasley is a devoted supporter of our alma mater, consistently donating since 2006 to programs including the Student Emergency Fund, the Political Science program, the Alumni Fund, the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, and the Karen Jones Scholarship.
Laura LeMieux Paes resides in Evans, GA, with her husband, Chris, and their two sons, Elijah and Jacob.
2001
Kristina Riegle is playing the role of Mrs. Cratchit in Meadow Brook Theatre’s “A Christmas Carol” this holiday season. Ms. Riegle earned her MM in vocal performance from The Boston Conservatory in 2009. She resides in Rochester Hills, MI, with her husband, David.
2002
Tasha Jeter Goodwin started her own life coaching business this year, TKLife, where she serves both children and adults. Ms. Goodwin also serves small groups for anger management, life skills, and grief management. She also created Know Your Worth Apparel, a clothing line connected to TKLife that sells positive affirmation t-shirts. Ms. Goodwin resides in Greenwood, SC, with her son, William, and daughter, Zoe.
Katie McDonald Windham is the new Sales Manager for Jolie Home. This year, Ms. Windham started her own art and design business, Love Katie Darling. She and her husband, Justin, reside in Metairie, LA, with their children, Juniper, Mabel, Atticus, and Keats.
2004
Jen Kampsen Carreras is the Deputy Director of the Georgia Office of the Child Advocate for the Protection of Children. Ms. Carreras earned her JD from Georgia State University in 2008. She resides in Alpharetta, GA, with her husband, Jace, and their two children, Ethan and Anna.
Tom McCarty is the President and Financial Services Profession for Williamson McCarty and Associates, LLC. Mr. McCarty was recently named to Forbes’ List of Top Financial Security Professionals in the Nation. He resides in Mount Pleasant, SC, with his wife, Beth, and their three children. Mr. McCarty is a stalwart supporter of the CofC Baseball program, not only donating to it since 2014, but also leading fundraising efforts and outreach to alumni.
2006
Court Clarkson Farrell recently launched her full-service marketing Agency, May Assembly, with two female partners, where they do branding, design, copywriting, and strategy for both small and large companies across the U.S. Ms. Farrell and her husband, Matt, reside in Stonington, CT, with their son, Wally.
Steve Jones, CPFA, of Bank of America Merrill, was recently named by Forbes Magazine as Best-in-State Wealth Advisors in 2021 and America’s Top Next-Generation Wealth Advisors in 2020. Mr. Jones is Senior Vice President of The Jones Group, based in Reston, VA.
2007
Aileen Bleach Crowson is the Director of Pro Bono & Responsible Business for Eversheds Sutherland and resides in Atlanta.
Richard Smith is a Research Scientist for Intellisense Systems, Inc. in Torrence, CA. Dr. Smith earned his MS in optics from the University of Rochester in 2013 and his Doctor rerum naturalium in physics from Leibniz Universitat Hannover in 2020. He and his wife, Nicole Kendrot, reside in Los Angeles.
2008
Lauren Grimmer is the Senior Manager, Business Continuity, for TD SYNNEX. Ms. Grimmer and her husband, William, welcomed their daughter, Emma, in June. The couple resides in Tampa, FL, with their two daughters.
2009
Seaton Brown is the new Director of Graduate Admissions for the CofC School of Business. He has donated to the College since 2009 supporting the Class of 2009, MBA Program, the LGBTQ Documentation Project, the CofC Fund, the Hospitality and Tourism Management program, the Cougar Club, Alumni Association Scholarships, and the Halsey Institute.
2010
Dana Young Ellington is a Dispatcher and Customer Service Representative for the College and resides in Goose Creek, SC.
Michael Gesme (MPA ’12) is the Senior Program Manager for Community Outreach and Engagement for the Virginia Commonwealth University Massey Cancer Center. Mr. Gesme earned his MPA from the College in 2012. He resides in Richmond, VA.
Porsha Malin was selected to be a part of the inaugural cohort of Wells Fargo’s Agile Associate Program and resides in Charlotte, NC. She has generously donated to the Alumni Association.
Zach Prince was appointed as the new Head Coach and Technical Director for New Mexico United in November. Mr. Prince had been First Assistant since New Mexico United’s first match and is only the second Head Coach in their history. He helped develop the New Mexico United Academy, a competitive team and full scholarship program for New Mexicans. Mr. Prince played for the Charleston Battery for seven seasons, which included two USL titles. He and his wife reside in Albuquerque, NM, with their child.
2011
Jessica Mitsch is the Founder and CEO of Momentum, a leader in talent identification, cultivation, and transformation in tech and related skillsets. Ms. Mitsch married Josh Homes in October. The couple resides in Raleigh, NC. She has supported our alma mater consistently since 2010, supporting the Religious Studies program, the CofC Fund, and the Karen Jones ’74 Scholarship.
Stephanie McClain is a Senior Program Manager for Google and resides in Brooklyn, NY.
Scott Murray is an Airrosti Certified Provider for the Airrosti Rehab Centers. Mr. Murray earned his DC in sports chiropractic in 2019 from the Palmer College of Chiropractic. He was the 2021 Winter Arlies Award Winner for the Best Chiropractor in Arlington, VA.
2012
Javier Gomez-Lavin started an appointment in July as a sessional Assistant Professor with the Department of Philosophy and Cognitive Science Program at York University. Mr. Gomez-Lavin earned his PhD in philosophy from the CUNY Graduate Center in 2018. He resides in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Jeff Locke is opening his own restaurant, Poke Burri, in Charleston, SC, the first week in December.
2013
Devon Turner (MPA ’20) started a new position as a Customer Success Manager at Copado and resides in Chicago.
2014
Misha Eady-Harbold has joined Ballet West as their Director of Company Management and Touring. Ms. Eady-Harbold earned her MPA from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte this year. She and her husband, Andrew, reside in Salt Lake City, UT. Ms. Eady-Harbold is a donor to the Alumni Fund.
Alicia Short earned her MA in marriage and family therapy from Northcentral University in June. Ms. Short married her husband, David Lucas, in December 2020. The couple resides in North Charleston, SC.
2015
Master Bines is a Trusted Real Estate Advisor for eXp Realty Charleston and resides in North Charleston, SC.
Luke Fuller is a Senior Analyst for Thirty Capital in Charlotte, NC.
Carra Pope is a Cybersecurity Analyst for Panasonic Avionics in Los Angeles. Ms. Pope earned her JD from Brooklyn School of Law in 2019 and graduated from Monash University (Australia) this year with her MS in cybersecurity. She has been published in legal journals on the topic of data privacy. Ms. Pope reside in Encino, CA.
2016
Sami Miehl is a national certified Registered Behavior Technician and works for Hopebridge Autism Center in Roswell, GA, where she uses applied behavior analysis therapy to work one-on-one with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Kate O’Dell is a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at George Washington University and resides in Arlington, VA. Ms. O’Dell earned her PhD in atmospheric science from Colorado State University this summer. Her PhD research was recently featured in articles in the Washington Post, CNN, and Fast Company.
Casey Witkowski is an Investor for The LegalTech Fund and earned her MS in accountancy from Wake Forest University in 2017. Ms. Witkowski has a CFA charter and is a Certified Public Accountant. Her blog, Glass Half Funded, discusses women in finance and venture capital. Ms. Witkowski resides in Bethesda, MD, with her husband and high school sweetheart, Joshua Tierney ’17.

Sarah Steadman is a first-year medical student at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, VA.
Jimmy Worthy is a Property Advisor for Worthy & Associates Real Estate and resides in Rock Hill, SC.
2018
Ryan Hawsey married Paige Mitchell ’18 in June 2021. Mr. Hawsey is a Hydrographic Project Surveyor for Precision Measurements, Inc. He earned his MS in hydrographic science from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2020. The couple resides in Norfolk, VA.
2019
Jessica Mack is the Founder and Content Creator for Ebony Xscape Productions. Ms. Mack published her first book titled, “Guardians of Masks and Memory” through her company and spoke about the book at the Black Ink Festival in Charleston, SC, in January. The book is the first novel in a fantasy series, and she is currently writing book two. Ms. Mack resides in Ladson, SC, and has been a donor to the College since 2016, supporting the CofC Fund and the Student Emergency Fund.
Mackenzie Schaich is a Data Scientist for Apple and resides in Atlanta. Ms. Schaich generously donates to the College’s Computer Science Fund and the Economics Fund.
Allie Stern is a Happiness Developer (Sales Development Representative) at Aunt Flow, the first full-solution to help businesses and schools stock their bathrooms with freely accessible and sustainable feminine products. Ms. Stern lives outside of Boston and is an avid donor to the CofC Fund and the Swipe Away Student Hunger campaign.
2020
Peter Austen recently joined CBRE in Reston, VA, as a Transaction Management Coordinator.
Sabrina Doughman is an Industrial Engineer for The Boeing Company and resides in Mount Pleasant, SC.
Melanie Grijalva is an Early Interventionist for Easterseals in Charleston, SC.
Sam Tobio is a Supply Chain Analyst for Boeing and resides in Metairie, LA.
Sunday Dennis Tuk is the Senior Projects Manager for the Medical University of South Carolina. Ms. Tuk earned her MBA from Clemson University. She and her husband, Joseph, reside on Daniel Island, SC, with their daughter, Peyton. Ms. Tuk generously donates to the Student Emergency Fund.
