Nat Wallace is a Professor at South Carolina State University. Dr. Wallace earned both his MA and PhD from Rutgers University. He was a Fulbright Lecturer for the University of Bergen, Norway (2011-12) and will be a Fulbright Lecturer again for the 2021-22 academic year. Dr. Wallace and his wife, Janet, reside in Orangeburg, SC.

Dianne Bishop is the Finance Manager, MUSC Health Finance/Reimbursement for the Medical University of South Carolina. Ms. Bishop was the 1996-1997 recipient of the Robert M. Shelton Award for Sustained Chapter Excellence while she was President of the SC Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. She resides in Charleston, SC.

Cal Morrison and his wife, Barbara, reside in Charleston, SC. They have four children and one granddaughter, Ny’Asia.

Guy Carpenter was recognized by Apparel Insider as a global star of sustainable textiles. Mr. Carpenter is the President of Bear Fiber, Inc. He earned his MBA from the University of South Carolina in 1988. Mr. Carpenter resides in Wilmington, NC.

Scott Cracraft was ranked by Forbes as the #24 Best-In-State Wealth Advisors 2021. Mr. Cracraft is the Managing Director of Raymond James in Charleston, SC. He and his wife, Janet Heath Cracraft ’85, reside in Mount Pleasant, SC, and have two children, Chip and Kellee Ann Cracraft ’15.

Leslie Holt Mitchum is the Risk Manager for the City of North Charleston. Ms. Mitchum and her husband, Jimmy, reside in North Charleston, SC.

Bill Penney was the 2019-2020 recipient of the CofC Office of Admission’s Cougar PAWS Volunteer of the Year Award. Mr. Penney has been the Owner of an Allstate Insurance branch for over 25 years. He and his wife, Kathleen, reside in West Chester, PA, and have two children, Hannah and Keaton Penney ’22.

Kevin Conlon is a Hydrologist for the US Geological Survey. Mr. Conlon and his wife, Ginny, reside in Charleston, SC, and have two daughters.

Cecil Alston works for United Parcel Service. Mr. Alston resides in Ladson, SC, with his wife, Corretta, and their daughter.

Robin House Croker Poole has written a cookbook titled, A Wooden Spoon and A Sharp Knife: A Cookbook for Beginners. Ms. Croker Poole and her husband, Rupert Croker Poole ’98, live in Charlotte, NC, with their two daughters.

Alex Dambach is the Planning Supervisor for the City of Oakland Park where he manages the city’s zoning, large development projects, and the city’s comprehensive plan for its future. Mr. Dambach resides in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Catherine Cook LaCour has been named one of the “2021 Top 50 Most Powerful Women in Technology” by DiversityFirst and the National Diversity Council. Ms. LaCour is the Chief Marketing Officer for Blackbaud and has been with the company for over 11 years. She earned her MBA from the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird). Ms. LaCour serves on the Coastal Community Foundation and Women’s Refugee Commission board of directors. She resides in Charleston, SC, with her husband, John.

Byron Johnson is a Principal for Kershaw County School District. Nancy McDonnell Nelson is the Senior Management Analyst for the County of Solano Administrator’s Office in Fairfield, CA. Ms. Nelson and her husband, William, welcomed their son, Alec, in November 2019. The Nelson family resides in Pleasant Hill, CA.

Charles Brown is a Volunteer Dentist for the Arlington Free Clinic. Dr. Brown earned his DMD from MUSC in 2006. He published his first book Marquee Supervision with Purpose: How to Coach, Lead, and Invest in the Modern Employee and Establish a Culture of Professionalism and Accountability, which can be purchased on Amazon. Dr. Brown and his wife, Tiara, have two daughters and reside in Alexandria, VA.

Gina Washington Greenidge is the Campus Director of Santa Fe College in Gainesville, FL. Dr. Greenidge earned her MS in higher education administration from Florida International University (2013) and her PhD in urban education from Jackson State University (2020). She resides in Green Cove Springs, FL, with her three children.

John W. Lee was selected for admission to James Madison University as a fully funded doctoral candidate and graduate assistant in assessment and measurement. Mr. Lee published the song “One Day,” produced by David Linaburg ’06. He earned his MS in psychology from Southern New Hampshire University in 2020. Mr. Lee resides in Kodiak, AK, with his wife, Marlise, and their two children.

Bryce Ekrem is a Computer Scientist for Ekrem Computer. Mr. Ekrem resides in Bellingham, WA, with his wife Kimberly, and their daughter, Lori.

Taylor Bradley is an Assistant Principal at Cane Bay High School in Berkeley County School District. Dr. Bradley earned his MEd from Charleston Southern University (2015) and his EdD from the University of South Carolina (2020). He and his wife, Chelsey Mintz Bradley ’09, welcomed their first son, Weston, in August 2020. The Bradley family resides in Hanahan, SC.

Emily Buddin Cooper is a Tax Manager for PricewaterhouseCoopers. Ms. Cooper earned her MACC from the University of South Carolina in 2012. She and her husband, Michael Cooper ’07, welcomed their first son, Daniel Thomas Cooper, in September 2020. The Cooper family resides in Charleston, SC.

Brianna Fletcher Gibson is a fifth-grade teacher for the Charleston County School District. Ms. Gibson earned her MEd in classroom leadership from Southern Wesleyan University in 2019. She and her husband welcomed their third child, Emma Kathryn Gibson, in March. Daughter Emma joins two siblings, Hope and Luke. The Gibson family resides in Charleston, SC.

Brandi Hudson is a Scientist II, Computational Chemistry, for Relay Therapeutics, Inc. Dr. Hudson earned her PhD in Chemistry from the University of California, Davis, in 2016. She was named to the GV Impact List 2021. Dr. Hudson resides in Boston.

James McIntyre is completing a judicial clerkship with Bankruptcy Judge Marvin Isgur in Houston and will then join the Financial Restructuring Group at Milbank LLP in New York City this September. Mr. McIntyre earned his JD from the George Washington University Law School in 2018.

Morgan Best currently resides in Uptown Charlotte, NC, where she serves as the Founder and Managing Consultant of M. L. Best Consulting, a 100% minority, woman-owned and operated executive to mid-level leadership search and career development firm. Ms. Best is also the proud owner of IIXC Clothing Boutique.

Lane Curlee is an Investment Manager for First City Capital Management. Mr. Curlee married his wife, April, in July. The couple resides in Savannah, GA.

Emily Hoeksema is the Staff Pharmacist at Atrium Health. Dr. Hoeksema earned her PharmD from MUSC in 2016. She married Nicholas Harper in April 2020. The couple resides in Indian Land, SC.

John Curtis is an IT Systems Security Engineer for the College. Mr. Curtis is currently in his first year of classes at the Charleston School of Law in their part-time program with plans to graduate with his JD in 2024. He resides in Charleston, SC.

Denzell Moton is an Attorney for Alexander Shunnarah Trial Attorneys. Mr. Moton earned his JD from Samford University in 2019. He married Anita Samuel ’11 in December 2018 and the couple welcomed twin boys, Kendall and Kyler, in February this year. The Moton family resides in Atlanta.

Sarah Specter is an Attorney for Nelson, Mullins, Riley & Scarborough. Ms. Specter earned her JD from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2019. She married Christian Powell ’14 on Isle of Palms at the beginning of April. Mr. Powell is the Owner and Director of Island Sports Performance, LLC. He is also the Director of Player Development for Shipyard Park, LLC. The couple resides in Mount Pleasant, SC.

Ted Carrigan-Broda is a Graduate Student Researcher for the University of Massachusetts Medical School (UMass). Mr. Carrigan-Broda is studying medicine and molecular biology at UMass with plans to graduate with his MD/PhD in 2027. He resides in Worcester, MA.

Olivia Royer is a Mental Health Counselor for the SC Department of Mental Health and resides in Greenville, SC.

Lauren Sawyer is studying public health at George Washington University with plans to graduate with her MPH in 2022. Ms. Sawyer married Adam Jackson Fraser ’19 in November 2017. The couple resides in Nokomis, FL.

Angelica Scott was awarded the Outstanding Graduate Student Award from the CofC Department of Communication. Ms. Scott is studying communication with plans to graduate with her MA this year. She is also the Undergraduate Program Coordinator for the College of Nursing at MUSC and resides in Charleston, SC.

Presley Leopard was awarded the Outstanding Graduate Student Award from the CofC Department of Communication. Ms. Leopard is studying communication with plans to graduate with her MA this year. She is also the Marketing and Content Coordinator for the Horry County Government. Ms. Leopard resides in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Sarah Nesbit is a Sustainable Finance Program Aide for JP Morgan Chase & Co. Ms. Nesbit earned her master’s of business management from NC State University and her MS in global luxury management from the Skema Business School of Paris in 2019. She resides in Washington, D.C.
