September 2021
1980
Wayne Mutch is a Physician Assistant at CT Assist with plans to retire at the end of the year. Mr. Mutch earned his PA certification in 1982 from MUSC. He and his wife, Tenia, reside in Greenwood, SC, and have two children and one granddaughter, Abby.
1981
Cheryll Novak Woods-Flowers (MS ’99) was elected Treasurer to the Disabilities Board of Charleston County. She is the former Mayor of Mount Pleasant, SC, and is a leading Real Estate Consultant for Coldwell Banker Realty. Ms. Woods-Flowers is a generous donor to the College, giving every year since 1986 to the CofC Fund, the Cougar Club, the School of Business, and many other programs. She resides in Mount Pleasant, SC, with her husband, Harold. The couple has two children and three grandchildren.
1990
Susan Free Baker is the Accounting Manager for Waterfront Employers ILA Pension Fund. Ms. Baker received her MS in accountancy from CofC in 2001. She and her husband, Robert, live in Charleston, SC, with their two children, Robert and Carolyn.
1991
Lynn Benton Foster is a Teacher for Beaufort County Schools. She is a loyal alumna, most recently making a donation to the CofC Fund. Ms. Foster resides in Bluffton, SC, with her husband, Thomas, and their three children.
1992
Darin Rice is a Principal for Greenwood School District 52. Mr. Rice earned his MS from Grand Canyon University in 2008 and his EdS from Furman University in 2020. Both degrees are in education administration. He resides in Greenwood, SC, with his wife, Karla, and their three daughters.
1993
Robin House Croker Poole is the artist of the month for September at the Charlotte Artist League in Charlotte, NC. Ms. Croker Poole’s collection, Reflections of What They Used to Be, will be on exhibit. She will also have her poem titled, Reflections of a Trees, exhibited in the Of Earth and Sky installation as part of Charlotte SHOUT. Ms. Croker Poole resides in Charlotte, NC, with her husband, Rupert Croker Poole ’98, and their two daughters. The family have been generous donors to our alma mater, donating since 1993 to the Scholarship Enrichment Fund, the Alumni Fund, the CofC Fund, and the Class of 1993 Fund.
1995
Tracy Swinton Bailey is the CEO of Freedom Readers, a volunteer- based after school summer literacy program designed to support children in low-income areas achieve their academic reading goals. On August 10, Dr. Bailey released Forever Free: A True Story of Hope in the Fight for Child Literacy. She lives in Myrtle Beach, SC, with her husband, Issac.
Whit Faulconer is the Head of North American Sales for Detroit Bikes. Mr. Faulconer resides in Providence, RI, with his wife, Jennifer, and their two children, Finn and Neve.
2000
Leslie McBride Payne is the Senior Human Resources Manager for Sealed Air Corporation. Ms. Payne resides in Simpsonville, SC, with her husband, Kevin, and their daughter, Ellie Grace.
Kelli Roberson has been with Berkeley County School for 20 years and has recently been promoted to Principal of Hanahan Middle School. Ms. Roberson resides in Ladson, SC, with her husband, Tim.
2001
Marijana Radić Boone (MPA ’03) is the Director of Data Solutions and Implementation for Gravyty. She is a generous donor to the College, donating annually since 2012 to the CofC Fund and the MPA program. Ms. Boone resides in Charleston, SC, with her husband, Chris, and their two children.
Kim Green is the Senior Product Manager for The Black Brain Trust based in Baltimore. Ms. Green earned her MS in health services management from Webster University in 2005. She married Joy Green in 2011 and the couple has two sons, Clay and Jonah. The Green family resides in Washington, D.C.
2003
Stacy Brooks (MS) ’03 is the Senior Judicial Attorney at the Ohio Supreme Court. Ms. Brooks earned her BS in biology from Xavier University in 2000 and her JD from Vermont Law School in 2006. She resides in Chillicothe, OH, with her husband, Luke, and their son.
Jeremiah Pope is the Democratic Candidate for Montgomery County Council 2022. Mr. Pope is also the Chief of Staff for the Maryland State House and the Principal of J Pope Consulting, LLC. He resides in Silver Spring, MD, with his wife, Angie Logan-Pope ’05. The Pope family are loyal donors to our alma mater, giving consistently since 2013 to the CofC Fund, the SPECTRA Program, the Student Emergency Fund, and the 1967 Legacy Program.
Neza Xiuhtecutli is a General Coordinator for the Farmworker Association of Florida. Ms. Xiuhtecutli is studying anthropology at Tulane University with plans to graduate with her PhD in 2022. She resides in Apopka, FL.
2006
Rebecca Charlap Kelley is running for Mayor of her hometown, Southport, NC, to help bring unity and transparency to the town. Ms. Kelley is currently the CEO of Island Vacations, Inc., and the Managing Director at The Inn at River Oaks. She continues to reside in her hometown with husband, Chris, and children, Lorelai and Greyson.
Jessica Plunkett Zieche is a Music Therapist for Charleston Music Therapy, LLC, and Charleston Southern University. Ms. Zieche earned her equivalency in music therapy from Charleston Southern University in 2012. She resides in Charleston, SC, with her husband, Jared.
2008
Jennifer Rogers Bowen is a Practice Administrator for Columbia Skin Clinic. Ms. Bowen earned her MBA from The Citadel in 2012. She resides in Columbia, SC, with her husband, Thomas.
2009
Danielle Geeting is a Pediatric Critical Care Fellow at Duke University Hospitals and resides in Durham, NC. Dr. Geeting earned her MD from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2014. She most recently supported the College with a generous donation to the Alumni Fund.
Emily Miller earned her MS in advertising strategy from Virginia Commonwealth University Brandcenter in 2015. Ms. Miller married Carl Fraher in October 2020 and the couple resides in Richmond, VA. She has given to the College since 2011, most recently to the Student Emergency Fund.
2010
Amelia Black Joseph is the Special Education Coordinator for Contoocook Valley School District in Peterborough, NH. Ms. Joseph is studying educational leadership at New England College with plans to graduate with her MEd in 2023. She and her husband, Hunter, welcomed their second son, Aaron, in March. The Joseph family resides in Hancock, NH.
Ryan Parks is a Healthcare Business Consultant for Anthem, Inc. Mr. Parks earned his MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2014. He resides in Charleston, SC.
2011
Lindsay Rogerson and Sean Flanagan ’14 were married in April 2020, followed by a reception in December at The Cotton Dock at Boone Hall Plantation and Gardens. Ms. Rogerson is a Portrait Photographer at Tumbleston Photography Studios. Mr. Flanagan is in technical business development at Innovative Resource Management of Summerville. The couple resides in Summerville, SC.
2012
Jordan Borino is a Senior Supply Chain Manager for SpaceX. Mr. Borino is studying supply chain at DePaul University with plans to graduate with his MBA in 2022. He married his wife, Melissa, in June, and the couple resides in Brownsville, TX.
Tyler Canty is an Implementations Consultant for BlackLine based in Woodland Hills, CA. Mr. Canty married his wife, Cleo, in December 2020. The couple resides in Hampton, GA.
Jessica Stanton is the Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Mount Pleasant Manor – Epic Management and resides in Charleston, SC.
2013
Kim Anthony is a Recruiting Coordinator for Knock based in Seattle. In 2018, Ms. Anthony earned her MEd in college counseling and student affairs from The Citadel. She resides in Columbia, SC.
Jeff Aschieris is an Officer, Client Advisor, based in the Newport Beach, CA, office. Mr. Aschieris earned his Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor designation in June. He is a class of 2024 MBA candidate at the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business. Mr. Aschieris resides in Costa Mesa, CA. He is a loyal and generous donor to the College, giving consistently since 2013 to the J. Stewart Walker Fund, the CofC Fund, the Cougar Club, the Sailing Program, and the School of Business.
Amanda Jolly Nestor is studying history at Liberty University with plans to graduate with her PhD in 2023. Ms. Nestor earned her MA in historic preservation from Savannah College of Art and Design in 2013. She and her husband, Jennings, reside on Pawley’s Island, SC. Ms. Nestor recently supported the Alumni Association’s programs and scholarships with a generous donation.
2015
Pierre Bines is the Real Estate Concierge for Belmond Charleston place. Mr. Bines was recognized by Marquis Who’s Who in America April publication. He resides in North Charleston, SC.
Melissa Jacobs is an Adjunct Professor at the University of South Carolina, Beaufort. Ms. Jacobs earned her MA in communication from Clemson University in 2017. She married Sean Connell in August and the couple resides in Summerville, SC. Ms. Jacobs donated to support the College’s Women’s and Gender Studies Program in 2020.
Joe Owayda is a Senior Business Analyst for Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Mr. Owayda is studying business analytics at Bentley University with plans to graduate with his MBA in 2023. During the summer of 2019, he hiked Mount Kilimanjaro. Mr. Owayda resides in West Medford, MA.
Matt Sutton is a Criminal Law Paralegal for Dunham and Jones Law and resides in Austin, TX.
Meghan Troutman is the Revenue Manager for Mapbox, Inc. and resides in Henrico, VA.
Rachel Spivey Valentine is the Owner of Pretty Petal Press where she is a multi-medium artist who specializes in preserved floral designs. Ms. Valentine originally launched Pretty Petal Press in 2019 from her dorm room as a part-time endeavor. She married Scott Valentine in March 2019 and the couple resides in Charleston, SC, with their basset hound, Annie.
2016
Lauren Brady is the Program Manager, Grants, for ArtsWestchester. Ms. Brady married Jack Barrett ’16 in September 2019. The couple resides in Tuckahoe, NY.
Naomi Edmondson is the Director of Operations and Collections at the Beaufort Historic Site in Beaufort, NC. Ms. Edmondson serves on the board of the North Carolina Museums Council and has presented a museum-related project at the Southeastern Museums Conference. She received her MA in art history from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2020 and will be presenting her thesis about French artist, Jacqueline Marval, at the Feminist Art History Conference in September. Ms. Edmondson resides in Morehead City, NC.
LeeAnne Lower is a Senior Accountant for RadNet in Los Angeles. Ms. Lower earned her MS in accounting from Texas A&M University in 2017. She is also a CPA for the state of North Carolina and is leading a team to help launch YoungLife at Santa Monica High School. Ms. Lower is a generous donor to our alma mater, donating to support the Honors College and the Alumni Fund.
Jillian Rosone is the new PR Manager for Kohler Co. and resides in Little Silver, NJ.
Jen Waldron is an Elementary STEAM Teacher for Charleston County School District. Ms. Waldron earned her MEd in elementary education from Lesley University in 1997. She resides in Mount Pleasant, SC, with her husband, Tom Noren, and their two children. Ms. Waldron supports the College’s Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art with annual donations.
2017
Brandon Alexander is an Analyst, One Supply Chain Implementation, for The Home Depot and resides in Canton, GA.
Sara Burd (MA ’19) competed as Miss Minnesota Global USA and was crowned Miss Global USA 2022 in July in Orlando, FL. Ms. Burd is also a Professional Model for Envy Models & Talent and a GIA-certified Jewelry Sales Associate/Jeweler. She currently resides in Clearwater, FL.
Anna Grace Ewing is an Export Traffic Line Manager for Mediterranean Shipping Company and resides in Charleston, SC.
Will Lee has been promoted to Strategic Business Consultant of ADP, Inc. and resides in Mount Pleasant, SC.
Katie Skelly married Daniel Boer in August in New York City. Ms. Skelly is a Marketing Associate, Programming and Brand, for Film at Lincoln Center. The couple resides in New York City.
Mike Stalcup is an Associate for Aflac. Mr. Stalcup earned his MS in enterprise risk management from Columbia University in 2019 and his MBA from Clark University in 2021. He resides in Worcester, MA.
2018
Zach Coffman has been selected by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) as the new Resident Inspector at the Quad Cities Nuclear Power Plant in Cordova, IL. Prior to joining NRC, Mr. Coffman served six years in the U.S. Navy as a Reactor Operator aboard the USS George Washington. He and his wife, Rachel Beahm Coffman ’10, were married in June 2019, and now reside in Bettendorf, IA.
Laurel Gann is the Digital Marketing Manager for The Local Palate and resides in Charleston, SC. Ms. Gann is a loyal donor to our alma mater, generously giving to the School of Business, the MBA Scholarship Fund, and the Student Emergency Fund.

Niko Basolis (MBA ’21) is an Inside Sales Representative for Proscia. Mr. Basolis earned his MBA from the College in May. He resides in Vineland, NJ. Mr. Basolis generously supports the School of Business and the Alumni Fund with annual donations.
Mary Rinne Jackson is an Account Representative for GO Media and resides in Raleigh, NC.
William Meis is an Application and Program Analyst for Deloitte Consulting and resides in Burlington, VT.
Ryan Murphy has relocated to Philadelphia where he is studying interdisciplinary health sciences at Drexel University with plans to graduate with his MS in 2023.
Kendall Phillips is a Teaching Assistant for two communication courses at Clemson University. Ms. Phillips is also an Intern at the Social Media Listening Center. She is currently studying communication, technology, and society with plans to graduate with her MA in 2022. Ms. Phillips resides in Pelzer, SC.

Gabriella Fluette is a 2nd Grade Teacher for Laurens District 55 at Gary Court Owings School and resides in Fountain Inn, SC.
Chloe Heiligenstein is a Brokerage Associate on the Industrial Services Team for Colliers in Charleston, SC.
Jules Kabernagel is a Production Coordinator for Assignment Desk and resides in North Charleston, SC.
